I think they’ve gone a bridge too far here. It’s blatantly obvious that this is another effort to keep THE FEAR going, as Delta certainly was. Every time the world threatens to return to a semblance of “ordinary life,” they ratchet up the hysteria again.
This is not something a government run by sane people does.
The problem with all this nonsense is the whole western world is reacting this way. And is some places even with worse tyrannical actions.
The estimated life-timeline for a gain of function bioweapon is 3 years. We should be entering the last year of this nonsense. And if the omicron variant is more contagious, but less deadly as I suspect, we are actually in a good place. And it is time for the populace to become naturally inoculated. Yes, some will still die, but at that point the shot will be killing more than the virus does.
It is time to get a proper explanation of why areas with the highest vax rates are actually experiencing spikes? Between vax and natural immunities...it should be snuffed out. But the data says that is not the case. Those that are vaxxed and get covid should have natural immunity too, but again, no one is talking about this either.
There’s lots of questions that need real answers to the public regarding this. Because the “science” is no longer making any logical sense. A mild multi-mutated variant may just be our best antidote, not our biggest fear. Our bodies will recognize those mutations or variants later.
I just do not see a downside here at this point. The data so far indicates this may be the best thing to happen.
