A large group of teenagers raided a Home Depot in Lakewood Friday night, according to the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department.

At approximately 7:55 p.m., a group of about 18 teenagers were approached by Home Depot employees at the tool section of the store located on 5000 Hardwick St.

They were all escorted to the front door, when they took all types of merchandise, police said.

The thieves fled in about 10 vehicles and drove away in different directions....

Fox cable reporting fox affiliate LA is reporting mostly sledge hammers were taken.

I have to say, I’ve never heard or seen of a sledge hammer being christmas wrapped with a big bow under the tree, so it’s probably pretty safe to assume they are not ‘presents’

Yes, Home Depot, at least in my area, has an extensive tool section. I'm rather surprised though that the thieves would target this section. After all, tools imply actually working on something rather than being a POS theif. Then again, they are probably going to merely sell them to someone that actually earns a living. Anyone reading this with any sympathies towards the thieves - you are all POS in my book, now and forever. I have personally been the victim of theft, and I will never, never forgive the thieves. They are {Diety}-damn lucky they are the cowards they are and I wasn't present at the time. They would've met their maker to answer for their crimes.
