Russia has developed some very nasty weapons. This is their backyard and they are willing to do whatever is necessary to protect it.
The political party that is in power has also gone out of its way to make unsubstantiated allegations against Russia. Provoking the Bear is not a smart thing to do.
China will be watching our clumsiness in Ukraine too. And they will be taking notes.
