....having owned many “stores” in my life I can tell you that what you say here is, politely, non sense. There are more reasons than stars in the sky NOT to do anything like this.

That said, there might me an owner that’s going broke and drowning financially that might decide to commit insurance fraud but it would be a rare event. So, if you mean what you say here to be “once in a while” or “every now and then”, I agree with you that that is possible.

Yes, insurance scam as a “business model” is a very bad one. I can only imagine it happening very rarely for someone in desperate straights, or being controlled by the mafia. And Insurance Co’s will not allow it to occur more than once.

And that’s not something Apple, one of the world’s largest companies, is going to do.

For little operators like me, business insurance does not make it quick or easy to make a claim.
