Yes, insurance scam as a “business model” is a very bad one. I can only imagine it happening very rarely for someone in desperate straights, or being controlled by the mafia. And Insurance Co’s will not allow it to occur more than once.
And that’s not something Apple, one of the world’s largest companies, is going to do.
For little operators like me, business insurance does not make it quick or easy to make a claim.
I’m suing Allstate right now on a totally legitimate claim that they are offering half on just because they can. On balance though, in the past 40 years I’ve collected way more than I’ve paid in premiums so I believe in insurance notwithstanding Allstate.
After the weather related incident, Allstate did not even bother to come by and look at the damage even though they promised to many times. So, I fixed all the damage and paid for it myself. And, even though they never saw the damage because of lying about coming out, they want to fight about it. It’s an outlaw company in my opinion.
