The federal government has ordered a tougher crackdown on unruly airline passengers, directing states to prioritize prosecuting rowdy fliers as millions of Americans travel for Thanksgiving.
US Attorney General Merrick Garland issued the directive in a memo Wednesday, saying disorderly travelers are interfering with critical jobs of crews on airlines “that help ensure safe air travel.”

Hey Garland....how bout a crackdown on blm/antifa??
Garland would’ve been right at home in Stalin’s U.S.S.R.
A GOP controlled House should impeach Garland. But we all know they won’t.
Thank the Lord Almighty that this man is not sitting on the Supreme Court.
Good question.
About a dozen of the videos of passenger fights this past year have shown people with something in common with Black Lives Matter. So a crackdown on BLM could save airline passengers some trouble at the same time.
I distinctly remember George F. Will saying on a TV panel in the 1980s the reason for overcrowding at airports and on planes is that once only the wealthy could afford to fly and now “the lower orders can afford it.”
I haven’t heard him make any comment about the Waukesha attack. I’m sure he his huddling with his cohorts and co-conspirators in the media and DoJ cooking up another lie to push.
later, when the prices dropped he said it was like riding the bus....any slob could afford the ticket and fly.
I have noticed that when there is a particularly weird airline incident, it just goes away along with the duct-taped perp. No toxicology report, no nuthin’. Also it never seems to happen on Greyhound e.g. people trying to open the door on the freeway etc.
Oh great - now the Power Mad flight attendants just got more authority.
Just shows the power the far left Association of Flight Attendants - they keep reminding the Dems on how much they supported Biden in 2020. Clueless Joe caved on mask wearing both at airports and on planes because of this radical union.
IIRC about half of the cost of an airline ticket is taxes. They have been disincentivizing travel by airplane for a number of years.
“Thank the Lord Almighty that this man is not sitting on the Supreme Court.”
In his twisted mind he was robbed. And brother is he BITTER about that.
Hey, not on Traitormerrick's buddies!
Unruly airline passengers?
What about rioting and looting mobs across America’s cities?
Killing, beating innocents and smashing car windows in the streets while burning cities to the ground are less important than unruly airline passengers?
What an incompetent and dangerous attorney general we have in Washington DC.
The attorney general should be arresting and charging mayors, police chiefs and prosecutors across America for conspiracy and failure to uphold their own state laws !
“..A GOP controlled House should impeach Garland. But we all know they won’t...”
Here, let me fix that for ya:
“A GOPe-controlled (UniParty) House should impeach Garland, but we all know they won’t.”
A real GOP-controlled House would have his head on a pike.
Oh yeah, he just oozes concern. He's not a jackbooted lackey of the police state regime.
Garland has the expressionless eyes of a sociopath, uncaring of humanity and love, just like the Deep State he belongs and reports to.
“yep. dad used to fly back in the 60s/70s. said it was a fun thing, for flying, but folks would be dressed in business attire, were well behaved and could smoke on the plane!”
I don’t know how long it’s going to last, but with some minor exceptions (smoking, taking liquids past TSA), flying can be very similar to the glory days - all it takes is a first class or business class ticket and TSA Pre-Check.
As to price, the price for first/business class today is roughly the same as in the glory days, when adjusted for inflation, and the number of people flying that way probably about equals the glory days, when far fewer planes flew.
The difference, of course, is that advancements in engines allowed for much more ‘payload’, hence bringing in the Steerage Class. People today might not like Steerage, but they can actually access air travel, when before they couldn’t.
