Republican U.S. Senate Primary in Pennsylvania could include former Bush official

According to multiple Republican operatives in and outside of the Keystone State, the slate of GOP candidates could expand in coming weeks to include hedge fund executive David McCormick and daytime TV personality Dr. Mehmet Oz.

McCormick, a former official in the Treasury Department under President George W. Bush, is a Pennsylvania native and West Point graduate. For years he has lived in Connecticut, where his hedge fund is located, but Republicans in Pennsylvania have been trying to recruit McCormick to come back to the state.

"There has been an accelerated outreach from Republican leaders, both within Pennsylvania and nationally, as well as donors, for Dave to come into the race," said one person close to McCormick. "The Parnell departure has clearly created an opening where he's seriously considering it."

The Bush League Republicans nationally are trying to get a Bush Leaguer to run for U.S. Senate. ⚠️

They never go away.

This can't be allowed to happen ...

Not surprised.

Also Republicans “nationally” = Mitch McConnell. Probably his idea...

Is this article saying that Dr. Oz will be entering this race as a Republican? I didn’t know he was a Rep.
Either way, if Oz enters this race, I think he stands a good chance of winning, presuming no filthy dirty landry shows up.
Oz is liberal, but doesn’t seem radically so.
Name recognition along with the ability to sound mature and trust worthy go a long way.

Expect to see a lot of RINOs desperately trying to primary MAGA candidates out of the races. Especially since they know a GOP sweep is in the cards.

Oz is a Turkish Muslim and a mystic.

I’m aware of Oz’ Muslim orgins. I was raised Catholic, but I am one of those Catholics who believe certain individuals can still be worked with without regard to their religious faith. The deciding factor is due to their personality and apparent motivations. Look at their past performance. Have they shown themselves to be professional enough to focus on the job at hand, vs operating soley as a tool of their religious advisors?

Any form of trust is a gamble, but sometimes it is a gamble worth taking. I’ll be honest, I’m still made cautious when I hear someone is Muslim, but I’ve learned there are times when one can let that level of guard down a notch.

Who are some pro-MAGA candidates, who might, seriously, run for this seat?

You mean like the fact that he lives in New Jersey?

KATHY BARNETTE for Senate from PA. She is a pro-life conservative, supports Trump, and has spoken at our Allentown Tea Party meetings several times.

Buckley rule my friends. My vote would go to Oz. Our own pretty boy(those things count). Well known but a moderate. Look we need to keep the seat. Santorum was once a conservative and look how he ‘evolved.’ The suburban housewife(airheads) will vote for the man they’d prefer to take their pants off for. Could be the younger Lamb.

Too many candidates on our side. The winner will get a small percentage of the vote while the rats coalesce around Lamb. Trump has to pick or support one as the voters are too disjointed to unite.
