Latest guidelines I received from local military base today. Be warned, it's a long read.

I’m glad I left many years ago. This April would have been my 20.
The fact of the stay isn’t mentioned. Does the stay only apply to contractors?
I found out today that I can retire, TODAY, if I want to. I’m going to research this next week, and if I can retire then I’ll tough it out for as long as I can then retire. I had hoped to wait until 2025 to retire, but I may not be left with a choice in the matter if my exemption isn’t approved.
I believe this only speaks to federal “employees,” not contractors.
NO! The Courts have ruled this mandate UNCONSTITUTIONAL!!!!!!
Are you DoD? Active USAF?
Retire now, that way you can get another job and receive 2 paychecks.
Disgusting.

The stay only applies to private sector employers. Military contractors are subject to military rules.
My wife, who works for an army contractor, just got her religious exemption approved last week. That was a huge relief.
I am a federal employee (2004-Present), with 10 years active duty service (1982-1992)
When I saw that, I thought the same thing.
Trust me, I am SERIOUSLY contemplating that.
Full benefits if you retire now?
Yes, no penalties. But, I was hoping to wait until 2025 to retire. I would get twice as much via my govn retirement, and SS would pay out over $2000 a month. While I wouldn’t be living high on the hog, I would be comfortable, and that’s all I ask.
