PHOENIX (AP) - The Phoenix City Council is reconsidering a decision to enact a COVID-19 vaccine mandate for its employees, less than a week after the announcement was made, as some city leaders are concerned about the negative impact the mandate would have on city services.
"I’m incredibly concerned this will cause us to lose employees," said Phoenix City Councilmember Ann O'Brien.
Initially, City of Phoenix officials announced that all employees must be vaccinated by Jan. 18 so the city can comply with the rules created by President Joe Biden’s administration.
Federal contractors are required to have their employees vaccinated and an Occupational Health and Safety Administration rule that has been put on hold by a federal appeals court would require employers with more than 100 workers to regularly test anyone who isn’t inoculated. Phoenix officials say the city has federal contracts so it must ensure all employees are vaccinated

They’ve been unvaccinated for almost 2 years...what’s the problem?
Those who do not learn from the examples of others, are doomed to repeat the failures, and to miss out on the opportunities seized when the time was right.
There is and never has been any intention of stopping the COVID-19 Wuhan virus with masks, vaccines, or even social distancing. The only rational response, after the first few examples of uncertain outcomes, is to treat the disease, early and effectively, with known and highly effective protocols, and educating the public on the RIGHT way to prevent the propagation of the disease within the body tissues.

If they rescind the order because they’re worried about losing personnel, then that proves it’s not about stopping Covid.
And any employee who was threatened to take this ir lose their job should be able to sue the city into oblivion. Can’t wait for the federal workers and contractors to act up. I think they take care of the beast in silence and from the inside.

To the Democrats COVID isn’t a disease, it’s an opportunity.
