Perfect for a setup. “The deceased was a life long collector of rare coins and currency. The funeral will be held a the forest lawn cemetery at 2:00pm on Wednesday.”
My father was into books. We are up to 50 boxes that we’ve donated now with a few more bookshelves left to pack.
Ghouls have been doing that coast to coast and border to border for generations.
Nothing new under the sun.
Yep they owe me

There are two front doors at our family’s homestead. One door is wider so a coffin can fit through. It goes into the parlor where the deceased was “laid out”.
"Many colonial homes in New England have a feature called the Coffin Door. This door had only one function: allow easy access to the front parlor for the coffin containing the remains of a recently deceased member of the family. The door is also known as the funeral door, the casket door, or the death door. That last name makes one wonder if the expression, “being at death’s door” is associated with this feature."
WAS even an episode on Dragnet.....
Are you talking about the one that the bunco artist would read obituaries of soldiers who died. (Possibly in Korea)
He would go to the family members or fiance and say the soldier had ordered a pen set or book, but he died before it was paid for. And the relative or fiance would offer to pay for it, because it was their final gift and sentimental.
This has been going on for decades. Happened when my grandmother died almost 50 years ago
