“Serves her right - Harry Potter inspires young men to become soy boys and Incels.”
How so?
You regard a young boy who goes up against a mass murderer and his gang to be a "soy boy"? OK. IMHO, he seems pretty badass.
The whole Hogwarts environment seemed pretty based to me. Young people learning about technology, while carrying tools which are potentially deadly weapons with them wherever they go.
No, not at all. The stories are about bravery, loyalty, and friendship. The sorcery is just the backdrop.
The books came out just before the gay revolution of the 2010's. There's nothing about homosexuality in it, only an undertone of "girls are smarter and braver than boys" which has been going on for decades. The notion that Dumbledore or anyone else was gay was ret-conned into the books.
