Never ate alligator, but my daughter did and said the same thing. I've heard gators produce a lot of meat.

There was a bird flu thing going around Asia when we lived in Japan in the 1990s and chicken was suddenly in short supply and expensive. We tried some imported kangaroo meat from Australia and it was pretty good as well.

I don’t much are for these giant modern chicken parts. I’ve always preferred squirrel meat to chicken, anyway. Looks like the woods around here will be losing quite a few of those cute critters if other stores follow Amazon Foods.
