Listening to that mayor’s speech kind of made my blood boil. It was completely scripted, he didn’t sound sincere at all. Every single word was read off a page, you can even hear pages turning. Not an ounce of anger over what has happened. Not a single word denouncing what happened. I guess all politicians, even going down to a mayor level are compromised.
I picked up on that.
I agree. A 5th grader wrote that speech.
I have no interest in hearing politicians attempting to sound ‘sincere’. They do that all the time, and it’s always ‘boilerplate’. (God save me from the words ‘horrific’, ‘outrage’, etc.)
In a case like this, where things only happened a few hours ago, I just want to hear known facts, nothing else.
I don’t think they have many known facts, yet.
