Maria Butina, a Russian national who pleaded guilty to conspiracy and acted as an unregistered foreign agent in the US, denied this week that her new seat in Russia's parliament is a gift.

"It's not a reward," Butina told the New York Times in a new interview. "I wasn't a spy. I wasn't working for the government. I was just a civilian."

"If I had known that I have to register to build peace between the two nations by my own initiative, I would have loved to," she added.

Maria Butina has admitted she was a spy.

A Russian gun rights activist who admitted she was a secret agent for the Kremlin and tried to infiltrate conservative U.S. political groups while Donald Trump rose to power says she believed her notes and analysis would be “valuable” for Russian officials.

Maria Butina, who admitted covertly gathering intelligence on the National Rifle Association and other groups at the direction of a former Russian lawmaker, spoke to National Public Radio in an interview airing Friday.

In the interview with NPR, Butina admitted that she knew Torshin was providing the information she gleaned to Russia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and said that she was honored to help.

All true... and I think if she ran her own campaign as an individual candidate (half of Duma is individuals, half is party lists), she would have won... but she did not.

You have to feel sorry for this lady. She was put through an ordeal and thrown in prison for something that is routine in Washington DC....the equivalent of a speeding ticket. She wasn’t even connected to any politician in Russia and she certainly wasn’t lobbying in the US. She just wanted to get a better understanding of the NRA and see if she could maybe support gun rights within Russia.

Not KGB. Is FSB. *Spy* is so last Century....

Federal Security Service (FSB) deals with internal matters (FBI);
Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) is what the gal worked for (CIA);
Main Intelligence Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation (GRU) is military, runs Spetsnaz troops (branch military agencies, NSA, DIA NRO, etc);
Federal Protective Service (FSO) Guards high ranking people (Secret Service).

Maria Butina was interviewed by NRP for 45 minutes by phone.

She said she's not a spy, BUT she admits working for Aleksandr Torshin, who is under US sanctions. Maria Butina fed him information that he forwarded to the Russia's foreign ministry.

She emphatically denies that she was a Russian spy, that she was working in any way for the FSB, the Russian security service. She denies that they ever even approached her about this.

She admits her relationship with the man who U.S. prosecutors say was her handler. This is a man named Aleksandr Torshin - a former deputy governor of Russia's central bank at the time that she was here conducting all this work. Torshin is under U.S. sanctions, by the way. And she says, yeah. I reported to him. I fed him information - which then prompted the question, did you know the information you fed to him was being fed? He fed it to Russia's foreign ministry.

Yep, as I originally posted, Maria BELIEVED that America actually abided by the First and Second Amendments.

Boy, was she wrong.

Supposedly Maria Butina is a nobody, but the local russian governor gave up his seat in parliament, so that she could have it?

Within roughly two months of her return, Butina was given a job as a host on the state-run media outlet RT.

Butina became a member of the Duma, Russia's parliament, for the Kirov region in October. The local governor gave up the seat so Butina could fill it.

The only difference between NPR and Marxist Democrat Mainstream Media is that I pay NPR's salaries so Soros doesn't have to.

You still have to do better than NPR.

I will accept a link with President Trump stating that Maria was a Russian Spy IF the quote is dated AFTER January 8, 2021.

On December 13, Maria Butina plead guilty to conspiracy to act as an illegal foreign agent, while the original charge of failing to register as a foreign agent was dropped.

>> In July 2018, while residing in Washington, D.C., Butina was arrested by the FBI and charged with acting as an agent of the Russian Federation "without prior notification to the Attorney General."

In other words, this was part of the Deep State's coup against President Trump, in "ordure" to smear him with more Russia Russia Russia.

Note that the lackeys of the Derp State, the FBSSI, were the ones putting the muscle to Butina.

Now they only kick in the doors of Colorado mothers who are fighting vote fraud.

Be careful, FLT-bird - tlozo might get a case of The Vapours over The Red Menace Butina, and collapse all over your fainting couch...
