From a local perspective. Video with the entertainment value of the media crew getting chased, though it's odd why the camera guy would keep it pointed to the ground for much of it.

Interesting quote from the article, "Portland police said deputies declared the riot when people started damaging a gate to the detention center.". The bar has sure been lowered for what constitutes a riot now. Last year and all it was just "protesting" - complete with burning buildings, looting and so forth. Just protesting.

Mostly to keep his field of vision clear and to reduce his profile. Journalists sometimes become targets in riots, often from the side they’re supporting.
