The main purpose of “Law enforcement” is to collect paychecks and pensions from the public.
People like Kyle would not have to step forward, if the police did not step away and allow “room for destruction”.

I am not so worried about this. The Mob only operates where they have the cooperation of local officials. We had an incident last spring in Elizabeth City, NC which arguably made the Mob’s case much better than Kenosha did, but there was no rioting. There were protests, but the local government, including the black female democrat mayor, made it clear that they were not putting up with destruction. The protests were peaceful and professional rioters did not show up. The localities that have to worry about rioting tonight are those that have been putting up with it. IMHO, they made their bed and they can sleep in it.
That might happen.

Does this preclude a wrongful death suit. Or is Kyle still subject to double jeopardy through the civil courts?
