The judge in the defamation suit filed by Project Veritas against the New York Times has ordered the paper to provide justification for their publishing of privileged documents that the New York Times allegedly received from either the FBI or Department of Justice. These documents were allegedly acquired by federal law enforcement officials in several pre-dawn raids on the homes of Project Veritas reporters just last week. The New York Times published these documents, despite already being embroiled in a defamation lawsuit with Project Veritas.
Harmeet Dhillon, a well-known constitutional rights attorney who represents Project Veritas, tweeted the news just a bit ago:
Harmeet K. Dhillon @pnjaban !!! Judge in Project Veritas/NYT case orders @nytimes to defend its online publication of the privileged legal memos of our client, which occurred AFTER the FBI seized James O’Keefe’s phones and which contain extensive privileged communications with dozens of attorneys:

Harmeet Dhillon, a well-known constitutional rights attorney who represents Project Veritas, tweeted the news just a bit ago:
The New York Times now has until November 23rd, next Tuesday, to provide cause for why they published privileged attorney-client documents. The demand to show cause comes as the judge is attempting to determine the ruling on a motion to first, require that the New York Times delete any and all articles and links to privileged information of Project Veritas communications with attorneys, and second, to prohibit the New York Times from soliciting or taking possession of privileged information at any point in the future.
The New York Times is in deep doo-doo with this one. The Times is already involved in very risky litigation with Project Veritas.

I am not sure the judge is going to be able to make them take down the information but he could find for Project Veritas in its lawsuit against the NYT (the matter before the court).
And you will lose that bet.
I'll say it again. NY Times is the mouthpiece of the US deep-state and security state. There may be a lot of public shouting, but they will not suffer any penalties.
Of course they will. Same as CNN did. And the NYT's crimes are .much worse.
The judge needs to authorize a pre-dawn, no-knock raid on every fbi agent and swat team member who participated in the unconstitutional attack on PV, and every agent involved in getting the stolen information to the nyt.
Which never stopped the communist regimes in the Soviet Union and Eastern Europe from collapsing.
Which only happened after they tried every despotic move to protect their organs of power and collectivist ideology. That included complete control and promotion of state-run media and propaganda (sound familiar?) Maybe that will eventually happen here. But that's a completely different issue from NY Times being censured or penalized in this particular case.
This.🤔
Yes, yes, yes!
Oh boy! I hope this ends up in a civil court where the Old Gray Lady ends up paying Veritas hundreds of millions to fund Project Veritas for the next 100 years.
I bet the perp got some $$$ also.
Correct. Its much easier to get The Slimes censored and penalized than it ever was against Pravda.
For one thing we don't have the NKVD carrying one off to the gulags or for a midnight assassination yet.
You are more hopeful than I am. I hope you are correct.
“the collaboration of Media and Big Tech with the organs of The State to persecute political enemies that fills me with the most foreboding”
Trump and his new media platform to the rescue. Soon no more censorship of what conservatives say, as half of the conservative population in the USA will now have an outlet for their comments that won’t be censored anymore. Stiff upper lip; the left’s days are numbered. Trump’s new media platform goes public in mid-February 2022. 1st Amendment freedom is on the way! The glass is half full...
Yes...love it. Most people are unaware of the pitfalls that befall a conservative wishing to host web pages or take advantage of a social media platform.
Bill Whittle readily admits that leveraging FaceBook as much as he did for business purposes was a big mistake that he and many of his contemporaries made.
I hope they hang the NY Slimes over this. They suck.
And so do the feds that leaked and made the illegal raid.
We're already there.
I believe Guiliani was and remains President Trump's attorney and the FIBs search his offices and home?
‘Special master’ to review Rudy Giuliani search warrant evidence: judge
Sigh. TH54
This should scare every decent person. I'd rather shut down the entire FBI and the entire Department of Justice than let this slide without major consequences. Yes, the FBI in theory protects us from foreign threats inside our borders. However, the domestic threat from a corrupt FBI is far more serious. There is no comparison. Identify and prosecute everyone involved in the leaks, or shut both organizations down - "against all enemies, foreign and domestic".
I know...and even though this is done with the implicit consent of the Deep State Republicans, it is still a massively one-sided corruption of government that has originated and grown in the Left.
