The man known as "jump kick man" during the trial of Kyle Rittenhouse is 39-year-old Maurice Freeland of Wisconsin, defense attorneys revealed to Fox News Thursday. A video played at trial appears to show Freeland running at Rittenhouse and kicking him shortly after the teenager shot and killed Joseph Rosenbaum. Rittenhouse testified at trial that he fired at Freeland in self-defense but missed.
"I thought if I were to be knocked out, he would have stomped my face in if I didn't fire," Rittenhouse told the jury. Prosecutors argued during the trial that the men who confronted Rittenhouse were trying to stop an "active shooter."

Was there anyone, ANYONE on the Left at this riot who wasn't a hardened criminal with a long rap sheet? I know BLM and Antifa are Leftist Street Muscle, but it seems like they just emptied the prisons to get people into Kenosha.
How "Castro-ish".
But hey, we can't be so harsh about this guy. He is just a principled guy trying to turn his life around and be a good guy defending society from rogue active shooters:
- In 2003, he was convicted of a misdemeanor for possession of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). In 2007, he was convicted of the same crime.
- In 2008, he was convicted of a flight crime and two counts of misappropriation of identity documents. In 2009, he was subjected to a paternity case and convicted of taking and driving a car without the owner’s consent and obstructing an officer as a repeat offender.
- In 2010, he was arrested for disorderly conduct.
- In 2013, he convicted of possession of THC as a repeat offender and obstruction of an officer as a repeat offender.
- In 2016, a petition for alimony was filed against him and he was detained.
- On January 8, 2018, he was booked into the Kenosha County Jail in Kenosha, Wisconsin. He was charged with a probation and parole violation and three counts of disorderly conduct and released on April 8, 2018. On October 26, 2018, he was booked into the Kenosha County Jail and charged with one count of disorderly conduct. He was released that day after posting bond.
- On March 23, 2020, he was booked into the Kenosha County Jail and charged with disorderly conduct, criminal damage to property, battery, operating a motor vehicle without insurance and operating while suspended. He was released that day.
- On August 25, 2020, he allegedly kicked Kyle Rittenhouse‘s head during a Black Lives Matter protest in Kenosha after Rittenhouse shot Joseph Rosenbaum, which was before Rittenhouse shot Anthony Huber and Gaige Grosskreutz.
- He was 38 years old when he kicked Rittenhouse on August 25, 2020. On June 29, 2020, Judge Mary Kay Wagner sentenced him to 12 months probation, which was revoked on August 16, 2021 when he was sentenced to seven months in the Kenosha County Jail.
- On March 5, 2021, he was booked into the Kenosha County Jail and charged with contempt of court. He was released that day.
- On May 31, 2021, he was booked into the Kenosha County Jail and charged with battery, disorderly conduct, operating a motor vehicle without proof of insurance, operating without insurance, operating while suspended and deviating from designated lane.
- On October 24, 2021, he was released from the Kenosha County Jail.
Just trying to get on his feet and live a righteous life. Of course, for him, that meant taking part in a riot to loot and burn Kenosha, but hey. Why quibble about that.

The DA is back at Soros headquarters getting further instructions. "Bunger" and FatKraut are the Mr. Wint and Mr. Kidd of Antifa. [Diamonds Are Forever reference]
They've pursued Kyle Rittenhouse for a year to maim and/or kill him.

Prosecutors argued during the trial that the men who confronted Rittenhouse were trying to stop an "active shooter." Which is completely irrelevant to the charges filed.
What matters in a self defense trial is what the defendant knew and/or reasonably believed, not what the attackers believed.

It appears he was not a felon. It is interesting he has been in custody since May of 2021.
Kept the defense from finding him?

The judge should declare a mistrial with prejudice even if the jury comes back with a conviction. The prosecutor (persecutor) should be charged with misconduct and be disbarred.

“I thought if I were to be knocked out, he would have stomped my face in if I didn’t fire,”

This line of testimony is entirely plausible based on the available video evidence.
Considered in context it seems to indicate that Rittenhouse was by no means trigger happy.
Being trigger happy is a personality flaw that, if a jury catches a whiff of it, could easily undermine a self-preservation defense (or “self-defense” argument).
Rittenhouse did not even consider shooting his weapon at people until he was on the ground getting his head bashed in, and justifiably fearing for his life.
Shades of Florida’s George Zimmerman?

Wait, is this true regarding timeline?
If so he was already shooting before getting kicked in the head.
That said, getting kicked in the head does a way of causing one to continue fearing for one’s life....

“””A video played at trial appears to show Freeland running at Rittenhouse and kicking him shortly after the teenager shot and killed Joseph Rosenbaum.””””
Please correct me if I am wrong, but I recall the sequence of events as this:
1. Huber hits Rittenhouse with his skateboard
2. Drop Kick Man stomps Rittenhouse’s head
3. Huber comes back with skateboard to hit Rittenhouse again.
4. Rittenhouse shoots Huber when Huber grabs his gun.

Another thug who finds absolution, in the eyes of fake news, by associating with Antifa or BLM. It’s the same as those who joined Hitler’s Stormtroopers, the Red Guards in 1917 and the Shining Path in Peru.
