It is possible that the jury will return a verdict before the weekend; however, a hung jury is also a possibility, and the judge could also declare a mistrial — perhaps with prejudice, barring the charges from being brought again — after the prosecution was accused of violating Rittenhouse’s Fifth Amendment rights during cross-examination.

Newsmax reported they left a mic on and the jury as polled was 6/6. Half wanting to convict Kyle.
Should of been a not guilty verdict in less than an hour. Obviously there are one or more idiots on this jury.

That’s not true. Newsmax reported someone told them that the defense attorney was overheard saying he thinks it could be a 6/6 split. Seems like he was speculating.
Merrick Garland will pursue federal charges if there is a hung jury.

Im sure they are basing all this on their protection and their families safety, which should never happen.
This appears to be a phony trial. No reason for that jury to be still tossing this kid’s life around. Hope the Judge goes for the mistrial with prejudice.

Neither the jury nor the judge has DONE anything, nor WILL DO anything, without fear being utilized in their minds as the deliberate their next move.

That judge doesn’t strike me as a particularly courageous type. I doubt he’d take that step.
They also collectively may want the mistrial due to personal threats. NBC is out there chasing the jury bus. The judge has had his life and that of his kids threatened.
I could see a jury saying let’s give it a fair amount of time and just “agree to disagree.” Kick the fan down the road. Heck the judge has done that the entire trial. Let someone else worry about it. Sort of like the police on the night Kyle was attacked by a mob allowed to rampage a city.

Not particularly courageous???...One of only a few who I think are extremely courageous. Apparently you didn’t see him nail the prosecution to the wall...and more than once. He’s been a great judge...and I can see he doesn’t give a sh** about his own safety.
