Video from Xinjiang provides fresh evidence of China’s Uyghur repression

A 20-minute video shot by a bespectacled young man who calls himself Guanguan appears to confirm reports of China’s vast network of concentration camps used to persecute Uyghurs and other Muslim minorities in Xinjiang.

Guanguan says in the video that he traveled previously to China’s far western region in 2019 but went back in 2020 after reading an article from the U.S. news outlet BuzzFeed that indicated the locations of some of the camps there.

“But due to the Chinese government’s restrictions, foreign journalists can hardly gain access to Xinjiang to conduct interviews,” he says on the video, which includes English subtitles and was posted on YouTube in early October. “I thought to myself, foreign journalists can’t go there, but good for me, I can.”

Guanguan says in the documentary’s introduction that the Chinese government has set up many concentration camps in Xinjiang where local ethnic minorities and dissidents are imprisoned without a trial.

China claims the camps are re-education and vocational training schools. The camps are believed to have held about 1.8 million mostly Muslim Uyghurs and other Turkic minorities since 2017. The video has been viewed on YouTube nearly 276,200 times.

Isn’t it odd that only the Christians are concerned with the fate of repressed muzzies in China but that Muslims don’t seem to care about their coreligionists?

Well the Uyghurs could relocate to a Muslim country but they know they have it better in Chinas Uyghur community even with all the restrictions.

So far it just looks like forced re-education. I have heard the word ‘genocide’ tossed around a lot but there’s no evidence that it’s actually occurring.

Also, I don’t think it’s ‘genocide’ when black people get traffic tickets.

Like Dachau prior to 1939. Except it's worse. Most men under 40 are in the camps. That interferes with reproduction.
Han Chinese men are being forced into Uyghur homes and women, whose Husbands are in the concentration camps, to sleep with the women. That's institution rape in order to end the Uyghurs.
And the "education camps" are killing prisoners for their organs

I am of the mind that I don’t remain where I’m not welcomed if there is a reasonable alternative. In their position they have options. Further let the Muslim countries deal with China. Not our problem.

The reasonable alternative is for the PRC to end its occupation of East Turkestan and to end Han settlement,ethnic cleansing, cultural genocide, and genocide.
Further let the Muslim countries deal with China. Not our problem.
They should. But we are in a cold war and economic war with Red China. We should move for international sanctions on companies doing business in occupied East Turkestan and occupied Tibet.
