I hope you are doing well.

Many years ago I and a buddy of mine were on a FTX. It had been raining off and on for three days. Mud, dry socks, weapons maintenance, chow etc became difficult, you know the drill. So, by the time you get out of the mess tent, your food gets a little soggy and the by the time you get into position, your hot chow isn’t.

So Mikey (not me, but he lurks at times), had enough of the chow problem. Next cold rainy morning, Mike gets his chow and as he is walking out the mess tent, puts his knife and fork together in on hand, like a shovel, tilts his plate up, and consumes the entire breakfast before he exited the tent.

30 seconds we guessed. Amazing. Eggs, bacon etc, I wish we had cell phones back then.

Oh my goodness, Feckless...what an unnerving story until you finally got to talk to your wife. The relief, what you really wanted to say, but couldn’t, must have gotten you a good laugh...eventually.
