Rittenhouse prosecutor lied about video
Geller Report ^ | 11/17/2021 | Pamela Geller

After repeated denials by the State in the Rittenhouse case, that they knew nothing of compressing, doctoring or altering video, ‘handbrake' was spotted on the DA’s screen.

For everyone asking “what is handbrake”, it is used for compressing & converting videos. It was found on Kraus’s laptop meaning he may have purposely converted the video to the lower resolution version using handbrake.

“Handbrake was on one of the prosecutions laptops since January 2021. This can be used to compress footage. Krause lied when he said he didn’t know how to do any of those actions. I’ve moved from negligence or incompetence to malice”.

Im not sure who is worse from the prosecution team, fat guy or gay guy. They should both face some sanctions.

Handbrake is a great app. I’ve used it to encode lots of my DVD movies from mkv to m4v. But not once did I use it to tamper with evidence.

Yeah, that's what they all say.

Honestly, I hope the jury drags this thing out for another week. Make the lynch mob outside the courthouse hang around for a while. Then end it with either a hung jury or mistrial.

Also, notice how the Ahmaud Arbery trial has been flying under the radar because of this sh*tshow.

I use MakeMKV to “rip” my DVD and Blu-ray collection to .mkv files, then use Handbrake to reduce the file size, usually by a factor of 10 for Blu-rays.

That’s the same process I use, too. My Blu-Rays shrink to about 1/5 of the mkv file size and still look fantastic. A typical 25 GB to 30 GB mkv winds up around 5 GB.

I have used handbrake for something I think dvd authoring
Once.

I think it has en ez encoding wizard

But, more important where did the footage come from, how much more is there.

What was the original native res of the footage.

I cant look right now, but the ‘hires’ footage is not close to high resolution.

The low res footage is crap.

It is also a weird res for a drone. I would expect better

Or, if you were a corrupt prostituter prosecutor, you could use Handbrake to reduce the file size to where the video quality was terrible.

"Y'know, there isn't enough open space in our Dropbox for the original video."

"That's OK, we can use Handbreak to shrink it down, so we don't have to pay Dropbox for more space."

And that, I suspect, is what was going through the minds of the people preparing the evidence drop. They didn't realize what happens when they shrink a video.

I do this all the time with JPG/PNG to keep a mail message under the size limit on my mail server. I use gimp(1) to load the picture, and then save it at a lower quality level. Of course, I'm not doing that with evidence.

If I were an unethical prosecutor bent on committing a gross injustice, I’d compress the video down enough to smear crucial details, and then I’d “enhance” the compressed video with an AI algorithm, that was programmed to optimize the “enhancement” relative to a chosen narrative, i.e. that I’d be telling the jury had happened, that is consistent with the compressed video (but which may or may not be consistent with the original high-res video). Of course, no need to send the latter to the defense, the low-res and the “enhanced” are all they would need. And it might just so happen to appear in the “enhanced” video that a gun was being held in a different hand, or maybe was pointed in a different direction ... for whatever reason.

Evidence tampering.
Just what I suspected when I first heard they introduced evidence the defense was not informed about.

That's a great theory but the prosecutor lied about that in court today. He tried to say they sent the defense the original file.
