I hear you. We really need a new political party.
Suppose leading conservatives decided to start a new political party. It would take time to get such a party established. The actual effect at first, would be to help Democrats win elections, due to splitting the existing GOP vote.
How long would it take, and how much money, would be needed to start a new major political party nowadays? That’s what I wonder.
We’ve had only two major parties for most of our history, but our two major parties have not always been today’s Democrat and Republican parties. But it seems very difficult for another major party to gain traction.
The Libertarian, Green, Constitution Parties, among others, have been around for decades, but just haven’t gained enough support to be a major factor in elections.
The logic is; if you vote D, you will always get a D.
If you vote R, sometimes you'll get an R.
The “vote for the Republican as at least he isn’t a Democrat” meme has worked my entire adult life and I am 75.
It will work again the next two elections.
Shame the Democrats decided to become the New Marxist Party of Amerika. Had then governed from the center this would be the time to stick the final fork in the GOP.
Unfortunately I will have to vote against the D’s once again for the sake of my grand children and greats.

He will let local counties and cities set policies. Way more answerable to their voters.
That is better far better than a state wide mandate.
Me? I'm DONE with voting. If it limited the Commies in any way, they would have made it illegal by now. As it is, they have certainly nullified it.
