Preventing bottom-up tyranny isn’t the Governor’s responsibility; it’s YOURS as a Citizen — all that “We, The People” and “consent of the governed” stuff they never teach in school anymore.
Get to the City Council meeting. Bring a busload.
Go give the County Board of Supes an earful.
Phone, email or — old school, WRITE — your State Representative and Senator; even the Governor.
The squeaky wheel... and you KNOW that strident Progressive harridan up the street is doing plenty of squeaking. So, get into the mix and guarantee that’s not the only voice Municipal government hears.
It’s only if there gets to be an outcry all over the State, the Governor might, then, see cause to examine the matter; and even then it has to fall into that “compelling state interest” type of category, and it’d be far better handled via State Legislation than by Executive Order.
People that are in power via rigged elections owe the public nothing and they don't respond well to the riff raff.
Elections have been rigged since the first voting machines were installed in Chicago. Minority controlled cities have been rigged for decades.
How many here know the Republicans were barred from contesting elections because The Lion of the Senate decreed that all southern states were racist. They are now freed from that restraint, want to predict how they will react to their new freedom? I will save you the trouble nothing will change.
