Harris probably can’t be confirmed to a judicial post if the GOP stays unified. At best the Democrats have a 50-50 split in the Senate, and without a sitting VP there would be nobody to break the tie.

Replacing an existing lib with Kamala could entice a couple squishy Rs to let it happen?

I think this would be clearly seen as a scam, and there ARE true legal patriots on both sides of the aisle that would find this move distasteful.
