New Delhi Could Impose Lockdown to Combat Pollution [But the US isn't doing it's part for CO2]

You’ll have heard various climate change fanatics call for lockdowns to be used to reduce carbon emissions – because they worked so well to curb the spread of COVID-19! Well, it’s starting. India’s Supreme Court is calling for a lockdown in New Delhi because of a “health emergency”. But the “emergency” is not due to COVID-19. It’s due to air pollution. NPR has more.

At a hearing Monday, justices ordered authorities to halt all nonessential travel on roads in the national capital region. They also told them to close offices in the area, shifting tens of millions of people to work from home.

It’s unclear if or when such a lockdown would take effect, or how long it might last. Delhi’s air quality appeared to ease slightly Monday. The AQI is now in the low 400s on a 500-point scale. Last week, it was off the charts in some areas.

Delhi’s Chief Minister has indicated his willingness to impose a pollution-related lockdown but has said it would have minimal effect without similar measures from neighbouring states. Officials from the states of Punjab, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh plan to hold meetings Tuesday.

The CDC announced in July that there were 93,331 overdose deaths in the US in 2020.

Provisional data from CDC’s National Center for Health Statistics indicate that there were an estimated 93,331 drug overdose deaths in the United States during 2020, an increase of 29.4% from the 72,151 deaths predicted in 2019.

The data features an interactive web data visualization. The new data documents that estimated overdose deaths from opioids increased from 50,963 in 2019 to 69,710 in 2020. Overdose deaths from synthetic opioids (primarily fentanyl) and psychostimulants such as methamphetamine also increased in 2020 compared to 2019. Cocaine deaths also increased in 2020, as did deaths from natural and semi-synthetic opioids (such as prescription pain medication).

Also, in 2020, for the tenth year in a row, there were no deaths due to global warming. ZERO. Not a single death. And yet this is what the media and Democrats want you to believe is the greatest existential threat facing the country.

I’ve been in China where at 3pm the sun was so dimmed from the smog that it was less bright than the moon at home.

Northern Thailand and Laos (e.g., Chiang Rai, Chiang Rai, Nan, Phayao, Vientiane, etc) are unlivable between February and April because of annual air currents coming down down both sides of the Himalayas (from the south face: India and the north: China).

Most beautiful part of the country the rest of the year, but those three months will give a person lung cancer.
