Spots. He sees spots. Lots of spots.
“And do you need to have ‘the talk’ with your boys when they become teenagers, …”
Yes, I did. The same speech that got a guy fired a few years ago.

I will not nor will I ever “grieve” over something my great, great, great grandparents may or may not have done. And the “we just want you to listen” went out the window years ago.
What they are really saying is “shut up, whitey and hand over whatever we ask for.”
I’m sick of it.

The “Black Community” is a political construct to create the appearance of unity where there actually is none. The concept of a black community is racist to the very core of the thought
I think he’d be better served looking at black “culture” rather than blaming whitey.
No, navel gazing like this screed are the problem. People are people, done.
EXCELLENT ARTICLE thank you for giving a new perspective.
I understand the language of looters. The racial victimology is a new version of the ancient con game, but the substance of the arguments has not changed.
I have had the “talk” with all my children about how to interact with a policeman and I am white as can be.
Stay in the car
Keep your hands visible
Make no sudden moves
Be polite, contrite and respectful at all times
And above all, if you resist arrest in any way, fully EXPECT to be shot dead!
And do you need to have ‘the talk’ with your boys when they become teenagers, urging them to respond to police officers with the utmost respect lest they be shot?
Let’s just ignore current black behavior and focus on past white behavior, says the author.
No, they're not really interested in us "grieving" over past American racism, they want retribution for the racism that none of us had anything to do with, and they want us to ignore the epidemic levels of black racism against whites that exists today. Not only to ignore it, but to actively support it, and to PAY for the privilege.
Agree. This is defeatist tripe from those who will lead us to destruction.
Pretty clear that this writer has already been manipulated by the racism hustlers.
The facts are that George Floyd died of a drug overdose while being restrained by the police, after resisting arrest. The race of all involved in that is irrelevant.
The massive media propaganda campaign has been effective, but if a writer is going to ask people to use critical thinking, and introspection, he needs to give a much better example of his own thinking.
“And do you need to have ‘the talk’ with your boys when they become teenagers, urging them to respond to police officers with the utmost respect lest they be shot?”
I am lily white. I was taught by my lily white dad to be respectful to police officers. To this day, it’s “yes sir”, or “yes officer”, even to a 25 year old. This is silly. There is a reason many whites are wary of blacks from the outset. Check crime statistics and get back to me. Behave and we all get along.
These acts were not done by everyday Americans, they were done by progressive democrats. Today, those same progressives have turned their divisive policies on white people. It’s always one group against another with these progressive dems. It’s how they derive their power. It’s a very dangerous game, but it has played well for them so far. What scares me now is that they have actually made it acceptable to discriminate against people for being strait white. I myself am having difficulty finding medical care because of my race, sexual identity and preference. It may shorten my life because I do not fit in one of their aggrieved peoples bucket. I pay my bills and taxes which pay for those who do not pay their bills. It’s modern day slavery.
It's not too difficult.
I have a sibling who is a LEO. When pulling over any AA, the first response is usually 'you just pulled me over 'cause I'm black'. The fact that they were driving 95 mph has nothing to do with it!
Listen to what? Criminals fighting the police and then complaining when they get an end result they don’t like?
I was raised in a church with an anti-Catholic bias. It took me well into adulthood to realize and accept that the Catholics of today were not the same people that committed atrocities centuries ago.
It confounds me how people attempt to hold descendants accountable for the actions of their forebears. The “you owe me because your great, great grandfather owned my great, great grandfather” argument is destructive. Everyone has ancestors who were abused by one group or the other. The only way to move on is to let go.
