Doubling Down on Victim Blaming

It's a local version of the oldest rule in international affairs: the path to peace is by maintaining the most imposing military in the region. Nobody will attack you if your army is the best. “If you want peace, prepare for war.” The theory motivating Rittenhouse and his comrades that day was the same universally-accepted principle, writ small.

The Left has now redefined this concept as “provocation:” He shouldn’t have gone there in the first place. The murder trial of young Kyle Rittenhouse, the only noteworthy prosecution to come out of the 2020 Kenosha riots, has become a surrogate for a war that the American Left has long tried to keep under the radar: the war against the concept of self-defense.

The Left finds itself in a quandary. They cannot say “you have no right to self-defense” in so many words. They must get there in another way, a roundabout way, but one in keeping with their longstanding effort to defang America’s police departments. Create technicality acquittals, and erect restrictive rules of engagement for police. Build red-tape barriers to keep private security guards from being armed and trained. Overrule the castle doctrine in the courtroom. Build in so many restrictions to self-defense that it becomes a toothless defense.

In the case of Kyle Rittenhouse, the self-defense case is so obvious that the prosecution had to resort to a claim of provocation, that the young man’s armed presence was itself a provocation. The evidence is clear that he was one of many (if not enough) law-abiding citizens who arrived in town in the hope that a show of solidarity in support of the business district would dissuade the protesters from further rioting.

They managed to define their riots as “mostly peaceful”. If that is the case, then I suppose they should be left alone to attack people, burn buildings, and vandalize public spaces. If you happen to get in their way, then you are branded a “troublemaker” and you just deserve what you get. So leave them alone and let them riot as much as they want. Vandals and Goths and the Fall of the Roman Empire.

The Kenosha "prosecutors" are part of the violent mob that was burning down the city.

Time to take that into account in the future.

“Vandals and Goths and the Fall of the Roman Empire.”

Yup, most empires have a life span of a few hundred years more or less, and ours has a much shorter shelf life now.

Every woman attacked by a man should just, according to the DAs, put down her gun and take her beating. Can’t bring a gun to a fistfight.

Getting kicked in the face by a black booted thug is no big deal. Just take it.

Complete lunacy. But of the 18 jurors, are there 12 dumb enough to believe it?

the war against the concept of self-defense

Actually this is Civil War II, going hot a little bit. The Democrats lost as expected, although they did prove their control over the media and the prosecutors office.

Binger, without his suit, chasing Rittenhouse from 2020 to 2021:

Binger and Kraus are part of the violent mob - we just don't recognize them in their nice suits.

But they are still chasing Kyle Rittenhouse a year later with intent to maim and kill.

On the instruction of the DOJ. Kraus said they’d gotten an opinion on jury having evidence in the jury room from the DOJ.

The DOJ turned over the ‘low res’ version of the drone footage two weeks ago.

What’s now the key piece of evidence for ‘provocation’? That evidence.

DOJ is orchestrating all of this.

They’re likely planning the upcoming riots when Kyle is found not guilty.

Why else would there be high res drone footage of thousands of crimes committed across the country in riot after riot and nobody prosecuted? Because they planned it.

The U.S. has undergone a Color Revolution with Biden installed as the fake Presidency after a stolen election.

The riots were to soften the will of the squishy wishy washy middle of the political road Americans who just want things to go back to “normal” - which is, Democrats in charge abusing power to punish political enemies.

The fibbies are the puppetmasters of Antifa, and Chris Wray is the head of Antifa.

Change my mind.

Re: “just take a beating”

The first most obvious question to me is: how the hell is one supposed to know, when deciding to take a beating rather than use deadly force to protect oneself, that the beating won’t result in serious bodily harm or death? Because, yo, people are often beaten to the point of serious bodily harm or death….so…maybe he’s the worst fricking prosecutor on the planet.

A posted response:

It’s an incredibly dumb argument...though given the fact that the jury is mostly women, they may not know how absurd the argument is, most having never been in the position of having a physical confrontation.

Literally EVERY time I’ve re-watched the Rittenhouse video and I see him hit the ground as people are running at him to surround and beat him with things, I tense up KNOWING that he could not be in a more vulnerable position. He’s ONLY alive today because the guy that kicked him in the head mostly missed, and Huber swung a skateboard like a pussy. Had either of those two connected he’d have been at least disoriented if not unconscious, and they’d have beaten him to death...if Gaige didn’t shoot him first.

But keep in mind, this is literally the SAME argument activists have been using towards LEOS this whole time. Since they have a gun, they do not have a right to use it against a person without a gun, regardless of how violent they become, or if they are attempting to take the gun away. They must throw hands with a suspect to make it fair...or something. The fact that prosecutors are using it here tells you they are more activist than they are traditionally on the side of law and order.

Remember - not only did the Antifa-bi delete the HD video - they made sure the Antifa phones weren’t searched.

They're just camouflaged in nice suits - but they're still chasing Kyle Rittenhouse a year later to maim him or kill him.

Binger couldn’t explain how Kyle flopped the sling from from his left shoulder to his right shoulder and then bring his rifle up to aim it left handed and “provoke” Ros-embalm.

The Kenosha sling theory...

This is what the prosecutors wanted Rittenhouse to accept happening to him when they said “everyone takes a beating sometimes”.

They wanted the ‘blob’ to be a Rorschach test for the jury where the ‘guns=bad’ people would convict based on something they really couldn’t see.
