A HERO taxi driver thwarted a Remembrance Day bomb tragedy by trapping a suspected terrorist in his cab...

Meanwhile, of course, the British police are keeping an "open mind".
It’s a complete mystery regarding what motivated the attackers.
A serious case of “Sudden Jihad Syndrome”?

Should add that the cabbie survived, with some injuries, jumping out after locking the bomber in the cab.
Fitting end for a hate filled terrorist.
Fulfills his religion of pieces.
I’m reminded of this Volkswagen commercial about a terrorist

“ Fitting end for a hate filled terrorist…”

Yep… no 72 virgins for him.
Total melt down.
He wanted to attack and kill his victims “because of their religion”...Or is it that he was motivated by his own damned religion?
The Police said they were continuing to keep an open mind about the cause of the blast yesterday, immediately after the event. Within two hours they had arrested 3 suspects under anti-terrorism legislation.
I’m not sure what else the Police should have said at the time.
In the UK, people like me grew up with “The Troubles” in the 70’s-90’s and got on with life. We knew who the perpetrators were and we didn’t need the press to create a frenzy. I didn’t look every Irishman in the eye and believe he was a terrorist.
As far as I am concerned that’s how it should remain today.
We know who is behind this attack and we know they will be going to jail, following a fair trial.
Never saw that before!
Thank you for that good news! May God bless him!
“...we know they will be going to jail, ...”
We’ve nothing of the stuff of our forebears.
Formerly, that “fair trial” would end with doings at Smithfield, Kennington Common, or some other notable locale.
No wonder we so much revel in films where the bad guys get thoroughly snuffed in the end.

I beg to differ.
I’m sure there are nice Germans. In fact, I’ve met many.
But in 1940 we didn’t have the luxury to distinguish them from the others.
Sadly, the same rules apply - if we are to survive.
It’s not an official Volkswagen commercial.
It’s very funny nonetheless - and appears to be set in London circa summer 2003 (or perhaps a year later). Directed by Stuart Fryer.
There’s a whole reel of his works here: https://www.stuartfryer.com/commercials - and some are very funny.
What did locking the taxi doors do? Can’t a passenger still open the door?
Within two hours they had arrested 3 suspects under anti-terrorism legislation.

2 Irish and 1 Scot?
