Business Insider is a left wing rag.
I was speaking to the general concept of it. There are many even here who would embrace the concept of one forced religion because they are confident theirs is the only righteous religion.
Dangerous because those who practice other faiths think the very exact same and could be the majority someday. Or once given the power it could be changed and forced by government even without a majority.
It is just a door that should NEVER be considered in any form or fashion no matter how righteous the claims are. We need to be very careful what we ask for with this concept. Aside from the fact it removes the religious rights of the individual.
“But even if it’s forced Christianity, what sect? “
EXACTLY...
It would benefit the US if muslims were not spreading their religion that is not from God.
Within the last 20 years, they managed to set up their section of a state and run for office and win those elections. They are in congress trying to remake this country into theirs.
This nation is a Christian nation and the reason we are great is God in Heaven is our God. You see what happens when they take God out of the schools... something else fills the void.
We used to have prayer in public schools.. and convocations. the left got hold of all that and banished it.
There is no sense in the leaders today.. they get their direction from somewhere other than common sense.
If someone believes in God, the Christian God, then they must believe in Satan but that doesn’t make them a Satanist.
If this were true then Satanists would also be Christians because one cannot believe in one without the other.
Yes, no, maybe?
I agree- the world is on a seemingly unstoppable path of self-destruction and “toxic diversity”. I’m pretty sure Flynn doesn’t expect such an idea to actually happen, but I abhor the idea of theocracy- it always will depend on the interpretation of the religion by flawed, imperfect humans.
satan is alive and working in this country.. don’t be ignorant of what is going on... it’s good vs evil and the evil has no limits as to what they will try. if they got the power they are after, our God would be banished from the US and the US would go to hell quickly... anything without God is controlled by the other force... we are not here in the world absent of any influence. You serve one or the other.
On judgment day, there will be one or the other.. there is no in between place.
The apostle Paul is a “ Rapture People”, in your words.
Re: 17 - General Flynn really need to, well, shut his mouth.
His mouth has gotten him into trouble so many times. Prime example - talking to the FBI without legal counsel present.
General Flynn, shut your mouth.
Don’t care. It’s cray cray talk.
Perhaps. And I'm sure they're trying to make Flynn look bad, and by extension Trump look bad. But Flynn said what he said. The video is there.
No, thanks. We don’t need Salem Witch trials again.
Here's a longer clip (not sure how to hyperlink it). It's awkward. People seems to be waiting for him to finish his nonsensical rant.
He likened Islam, a religion with 1.6 billion adherents worldwide, to "a cancer" and said that documents recovered from terrorist organizations instruct followers to "get into the bloodstream of the opposition," which Flynn said means to attack Western nations.
We don’t need just one religion in the US. But we could definitely do better with one less religion (islam)!
The first amendment states that “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion...”
The operative word here is “Congress” because nine of the thirteen colones had an established religion and did not want Congress intruding on their territory. Therefore, the 1st amendment did not outlaw an established religion, at that time; it only prohibited one to be established by Congress.
Now, our Founders were either Christian or sympathetic to Christianity, and would have been appalled at the wholesale attack on Christianity and Christian culture in this nation.
Notice, Madison stayed within the bounds of Christianity by mentioning Christian sects. Would have never occurred to him to mention any other religion.
If so make it Episcopal. Then you can be or do anything without consequence, and get in with the elites.
And so the WH has installed The First Church of Climate & Health.
People here are trying to spin it away by
Slamming the source of the story but fact is he said it...he has said and done a lot of questionable stuff..this is just one more
Maybe he was the source for the crazy shoot em up germany server story
But Article VI of the Constitution also says "...no religious Test shall ever be required as a Qualification to any Office or public Trust under the United States."
Now, our Founders were either Christian or sympathetic to Christianity, and would have been appalled at the wholesale attack on Christianity and Christian culture in this nation.
They would have been just as appalled at the idea of a single religion being imposed on the entire country, as Flynn seems to want.
Notice, Madison stayed within the bounds of Christianity by mentioning Christian sects. Would have never occurred to him to mention any other religion.
Because he was writing in response to a proposed Virginia bill concerning Christian teachers. Early in the document Madison also makes it clear that "(t)he Religion then of every man must be left to the conviction and conscience of every man; and it is the right of every man to exercise it as these may dictate." Not just Christians.
