China is willing to sacrifice it’s people so I don’t see the leadership concerned over more than staying in ‘control’ of the people any way they see fit, this while they continue moving forward with their Agenda .....so yes unstoppable in that respect.

Good, as long as China suffers hard and for a long time. Serves us right for having become so dependent on Chinese manufacturing and labor.

They have always gad an issue controlling the population number.

their cities just cannot stand an influx of so many from the rural areas, they could never support that and feed everyone and house everyone

that was the whole thing behind the largely one-child policy

now they have pickle in that they have a graying population and they see the problems with that

so they reversed course

gonna be a rough ride

Well they don’t have enough women because they killed off many during the one child policy. So men are caught between a rock and hard place because the woman aren’t interested unless you’re well off.....

I don’t see the public being an issue....they will forge on anyway.

We’re already suffering immensely thanks to Manchurian President Xoe and Camel Toe.

China exports $2.5 trillion - why even mention nba/NFL $500M. The author is not an economist.

Weren’t we the number 1 economy before China started rising in the mid nineties? Aren’t we the number 1 economy after China has risen to these heights? We export 120 billion to China which is chump change in our 21 trillion dollar economy. China is only 4th in nations we export to with Canada first. China has a lot more to lose if we dump them and they know it, particularly if we force our tech companies out of there and cut off their lifeblood-which is theft of Western technology. We will suffer a blip after we dump this toxic economic relationship and then correct our ship for the long term while they return to being a third world economy without Western tech

The Chinese are much better set financially to weather an economic downturn. Most could live for two or three years on their savings.

Serves us right for having become so dependent on Chinese manufacturing and labor.

Serves us right for having so overregulated our businesses in the U.S. And by the way, the labor savings only comes into play with labor intensive goods like shoes and garments. Where automation is needed for quality control, the labor is not a significant factor in manufacturing costs.

If China collapses, our economy will suffer for months while we ramp up to a ‘wartime’ industrial level. USA manufacturing will boom.

Yea, we are entangled with our enemy. They’re perfectly willing to take us out and endure the loss; if we’re not equally willing to win, the result is already decided.

No we won't. We can grow all the food that we will ever need in America but the ChiComs will start eating one another cannibal-style just like they did in the Cultural Revolution from 1966 to 1976. China imports $40B of food more than it exports every year.

China is not nearly as energy independent as the US either and that becomes a huge issue when you are broke. Fertilizers and many agricultural products are petroleum base and that's going to hurt the Chinese to because they aren't energy independent at all.

Sounds like China is in need of a country that has chosen to abandon use of its own energy resources (natuarl gas, coal & oil). I’ll give you one guess who that is!
