The Marine Corps, the smallest U.S. military force, has plans for a big overhaul designed to address its lack of diversity and problem with retaining troops.
The goal that's driving what amounts to a cultural shift within the service, is for the Marines "to reflect America, to reflect the society we come from," Gen. David Berger, commandant of the Marine Corps, said in an interview with NPR's Morning Edition.
It's not a matter of being politically correct or "woke," he said.
The core of America's strength lies in its diversity, Berger said, adding that the same is true for the military.
"Our advantage militarily is on top of our shoulders," he said. "It's not actually our equipment. We are better than anybody else, primarily because we don't all think exactly alike. We didn't come from the same backgrounds."
His new plan, titled Talent Management 2030, outlines measures the Corps will implement to boost recruitment and improve career flexibility. About 75% of troops leave the Marine Corps at the end of their four-year term, the highest turnover rate among the military services.

No doubt the good commandant is fast tracking some trannies for promotion.
They don’t want a fighting force they want a hands up don’t shoot bunch of pussies
And yet many here at FR scoff at any suggestion that the military is now woke. They tell me it’s just a few of the joint chiefs like Milley but the rest of them are great patriots and Trump supporters. Oh, how I wish that were true but it’s not. The enlisted personnel are undoubtedly great patriots, but the officers are by and large reflective of the same liberal brainwashing that has infected university education nationwide.
The military ‘leadership’ needs to be completely cleaned out and replaced. ESPECIALLY anyone who was promoted under Obama, Clinton, or now Biden.
Further, being a military ‘academic’ should pretty much disqualify you from any position that determines field tactics, recruitment, and military readiness. No more suck up self-promoting butt heads from the academies - particularly if they’re related to a politician.
It sounds like they're going to dumb down the Corps.

Er, no. Diversity = Balkanization, pal.
Someone should remind Gen. Berger that “E pluribus unum” translates to "Out of many, one". It doesn’t translate to “Celebrate the many”.
