CANAAN, Conn. (AP) — Eight residents of a nursing home in northwestern Connecticut have died during a coronavirus outbreak, while 89 residents and employees have tested positive for the disease, according to nursing home officials.
The outbreak at the Geer Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Canaan began Sept. 30, officials said in a statement Friday.
The eight residents who died had serious health problems, chief executive Kevin O’Connell and nursing director Cady Bloodgood said. Those who tested positive included 67 residents and 22 staff members. Officials said 48 residents and 21 employees have recovered.

It doesn't say that's what killed them, but it does say they had serious health issues.
Could be staff, however families are visiting, these patients go out to appointments. We can’t stop this virus.

Probably all of the staff. Residents come & go at rehab facilities.
My mother contracted COVID and died at a Bucks County (PA) facility prior to the vaccines being available. Had a discussion with the director about the wisdom of sending her out for a temporary stay at a local rehab facility to get her medications adjusted. Sure enough she brought it back to the facility and at least 1 other resident died of it.

Why? Since the deceased were almost surely vaxxed, it is now necessary to tweak the narrative by way of explaining why the vaccines do not work to "prevent death." We'll be seeing more of this, I imagine, going forward.
