NEW YORK (AP) — Fox News Channel edited video of President Joe Biden on Friday to remove context from remarks that some could judge as racially insensitive.
In Veterans Day comments made Thursday, Biden told an anecdote that referenced baseball player Satchel Paige, who had pitched in the Negro Leagues before Jackie Robinson broke the color barrier in Major League Baseball.
On “Fox & Friends,” Rachel Campos Duffy said Biden was “facing backlash” for comments at Arlington National Cemetery.
In his comments, Biden said he had “adopted the attitude of the great Negro, at the time pitcher in the Negro Leagues, went on to become a great pitcher in the pros in Major League baseball after Jackie Robinson, his name was Satchel Paige.”
But when Duffy played the clip, it was edited so Biden was heard saying he had “adopted the attitude of the great Negro at the time, pitcher, name was Satchel Paige.”
A Fox spokesperson noted that the full remark was used when the story was repeated two other times on “Fox & Friends,” and said the one-time edit was made because of time constraints.

Why edit the truth??????????????
Hey FOX, great idea! Just make sure the whole Biden Admin is treated the same. I would easily consider the “White Supremacist”, a willfully racist term!
AP making a story about nothing.
“Time constraints”!!!!!!!
BS!!!!!!!
Whatever. They played it in full twice. I don’t watch the show anyway.
I stopped watching Fox News entirely when Obama was elected. There hasn’t been one thing, or person on that channel that would ever get me to turn it back on. It was bad enough when they prematurely called Florida for Gore in 2000, and it’s only gotten worse as time goes on.
I actually saw nothing wrong in Biden’s statement..
Is it just me? am I out of touch?
I was “BSing” the spokesman, not you...
I think the issue is, that the term “Negro” is not used anymore.
And some people who want to stir the pot, conflate Negro with the vile version of the word.
And finally, people were talking about how, imagine the reaction if Trump or another Republican had said Negro. The media reaction was actually mild, no doubt because Biden said it, and not a hated Republican or conservative.
I have to read about this here as I stopped having my intelligence insulted by Fox News a year ago.
They are CNN Lite as far as I’m concerned.
Imagine if President Trump used the term negro- that’s my issue with it
Indeed.
This is nothing and frankly, I don’t know how removing “Negro League” takes the whole context out.
Whatever.

1. If you can’t do it right, don’t do it at all.
2. He didn’t say anything wrong in the first place.
This is like the Kyle judge’s Asian food.
Reminds me of the “Magic Negro”
Flip side to all the Trump coverage.
I remember not long ago the media throwing in “Trump, no stranger to controversy over being attacked for racism many times” with no evidence for the slander at all. Just taking more free kicks at him. He was never a racist.
Now media will probably say “civil rights pioneer Biden” after this coverup.
