After years of steadily accumulating power, 2021 is the year that Big Tech well and truly flexed its muscle. Gone are the days of banning mere Twitter pundits and demonetizing YouTube channels. In 2021, Big Tech silenced the sitting US president. They stopped the elected chief executive of the world’s largest economy and most powerful military from communicating with the American people. He lost the ability to tweet, post videos, or even send out a mass email.

This is serious. Each of us has a totally unique writing style that will reveal him/her to anyone whom knows that style. Style is inherently composed of words and word sequences. Hence, an AI program can identify almost any writer, provided it has samples of that person's writing.

No AI program will ever identify any of Brandon’s writing because he plagiarizes everything. The program would attribute the writing to dozens of the real authors.

There are free rephrasing tools available online. Paste your comments in the tool, it gives alternative choices. I have not fully reviewed their effectiveness, but they at a minimum function as a mass thesaurus.

You can anonymize the text of your writing by running it into a foreign language in a translate program and then translating that back into English.

No big deal.

Their AI can spot “writer invariance” by word choices. We will have apps to anonymize our paragraphs by basically using a thesaurus to substitute words. Draw.

Your use of such tools can likely be tracked and get you flagged as a subversive...

Online anonymity is good thing, isn’t it?

The upcoming Apple feature (“Hide My Email”) is something I will be using BIG TIME. This will allow a further increase in the privacy of our family!

In Australia, lawmakers are considering the ironically named “Online Privacy Bill,” which would mandate age verification (and by extension, ID verification) for users of virtually any major online platform: Facebook, WeChat, Zoom, Reddit, Bumble, gaming websites, and so forth.

Congratulations Australia. You’re back to your roots as a prison colony.

I will henceforth reside at 1060 West Addison, Chicago, IL 60613.

And curiously I write in a style reminiscent of Winston Churchill...

And my IP points to a fuzzy location in Flyspeckistan...

If someone doesn’t know how to cover their tracks, they should stick to kitten videos and TikTok.

That wouldn't work for me as my internet ramblings are incoherent as it is...lol.

I am reminded of a hilarious technical manual from the 80's where this Asian guy had a poor grasp of English.. it included such gems as "This utility can't won't run if not have 5.25" dick. I could maybe get that guy to do a re-write for me..lol

Don't bother with washing your writing through German or Russian. The UYGHUR language worked well for what you describe. Tested via Google translate.

This would essentially target every person who made comments
someone else didn’t like.

It’s a piss poor idea.

That means it will be implemented ASAP.

You can't cover your tracks online. If you think you can you may want to stick to kitten vids and TicTok.
