You make a funny, right?

No I’m not kidding, the state will claim even if is is self defense Kyle used too much force
They will put the AR-15 on trial IMO
You paid attention they got people to admit a handgun is better for self defense and it had a “full metal jacket” and non-hollow bullets that could go through people putting others in danger
Prosecutors will ask to add some lesser charges against Kyle Rittenhouse
correction : the AR-15 DID NOT have hollow point bullets
Well, I think I’m going to throw up. If I’m ahead at 50 yards of a 100 yard race, can I just ask the referees to make it an official 50 yard race instead after I’m left in the dust at 75?
Both of those claims are easily and often defeated n court.
An AR15 carbine IS the go to weapon for self defense in all branches of our military, a vast majority of police officers have carbines in 223/556 in their patrol units, and millions of Americans use them constantly to defend themselves both at home and away.
The 556 55/62 grn FMJ at close combat range is a stopper. It stops the threat more effectively than any standard combat handgun caliber and even though it has extended range ( to about 200 yds) it stops easily on hard surfaces and in a single person, dependent on bullet characteristics ( the 55 and 62 mil rounds yaw rapidly, fragment and stop even in a few inches of bicep muscle...) And it often requires fewer hits to stop a threat, reducing the likelihood of errant or over penetrating rounds. Kyle’s fire discipline is to be applauded as well.
Many technical studies show clearly that even a modern 9mm 40 or 45 HP defense round penetrates much more in both flesh and common building/barrier materials than even a FMJ bullet, especially at close combat ranges ( 0-50 m).
When the situation requires a likely hood of needing a firearm, its best to leave the pistol or revolver in its holster and use the carbine. The old saying stands “ I carry a handgun to fight my way to my long gun”.
Opinions may vary, but the facts stand.
Kyle could not legally have possessed a handgun at the time.
