It mentioned a landlord in the article, so that’s the guy that really got screwed. She probably has renters insurance, which might cover the damage to her household items under burglary / robbery if she’s lucky.

Not quite, her landlord is screwed. It’s a bit hidden in the article, but she was not a homeowner, she was only renting. More fake news to defame police.

It was a rental home. The landlord had been on sight at one point with a layout of the home. The renter has nothing invested in the house. Hopefully, she has renter insurance.
