WASHINGTON — One caller instructed Rep. Adam Kinzinger of Illinois to slit his wrists and “rot in hell.” Another told Rep. Don Bacon of Nebraska that they hoped he slipped and fell down a staircase. The office of Rep. Nicole Malliotakis of New York has been inundated with angry messages tagging her as a “traitor.”
Investing in the nation’s roads and bridges was once considered one of the last realms of bipartisanship in Congress, and President Joe Biden’s infrastructure bill drew ample support over the summer from Republicans in the Senate. But in the days since 13 House Republicans broke with their party leaders and voted for the $1 trillion legislation last week, they have been flooded by menacing messages from voters — and even some of their own colleagues — who regard their votes as a betrayal.

They are all traitors.
You are entirely to kind I was leaning towards a bucket of gasoline thrown on the bastard followed by a lit book of matches.
They certainly do. They’re far removed from any of the policies they force on us.
Several of these Reps are facing redistricting, to Dem leaning areas. So, they chose to put themselves/their $$$$ making “career”, over country.
Even more despicable.
They should all be in jail for a long, long time.
That's so old-fashioned. Where you gonna get tar & feathers?
Nowadays smearing their faces and forcing dog feces in their mouth is easier. And more humiliating.
Backlash? What backlash? So they retire from Congress and earn 5 times as much as lobbyists. If that’s a backlash, I’d like one.
And those who voted against it should stick to their guns and make sure that not a single dollar is spent in their district, right?
It won't be. This is to stop "social inequity" of roads and bridges.
From my Post 30: The gist of the discussion was that the roads separated white and minority neighborhoods and this money would “fix the inequity”. The truth was that it had nothing to do with race and everything to do with separating the poor and middle class/upward neighborhoods with roads. They separated according to wealth, not race.
It's true, what happened to freedom of speech and opinion?
They've decided we are to be ruled over and our opinions are a threat to their power.
You are so correct...😀
Being 2-weeks short of my 88th birthday, I can remember when "tar & feathers" were still a viable threat...☹
Although, maybe someone living near the La Brea tar pits in LA could supply the items...
