As the homicide trial of Kyle Rittenhouse continues in Kenosha, Wisconsin, this week, voters are largely divided along party lines about whether the teenage gunman should be convicted.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 37% of Likely U.S. Voters believe the jury should find Rittenhouse guilty, while 36% think the jury should find the teenager not guilty. Twenty-seven percent (27%) are not sure.

Rittenhouse’s crime was extinguishing fires set by Democrats.

Guilty of what?

Nobody has ever explained to me what Rittenhouse did that was criminal.

Democrats literally make up the rule of law as they go, with any given conduct being legal or illegal, depends whose ox is being gored.

Here they make being in Kenosha with a defensive firearm, an element of the crime - provocation. Kyle provoked violence by being there, defensively armed, therefore he is guilty of murder.

But that is not what the law is. It is legal to be defensively armed in Kenosha. Use of deadly force is legal, if taken in self defense. there is a huge body of law on this, but the democrats refuse to consult it. In fact, they LIE about what the law is, in order to get the outcome they want.

This subversion happens at all levels, all the way up to Congress and SCOTUS, and everywhere in between. They are fundamentally dishonest.

I've had these conversations with Libs, and it's their view that a 17 year old had no business being on the streets with an "assault weapon" at night in the first place, so anything that happened was his fault.

Sure, those same people shrug and remain silent when you bring up the NFAC goons (who have repeatedly been on the streets with "assault weapons"). They are partisan to the core.

Democrats focus on the irrelevant. Such as, he should'nt have been there or his possession the AR15. Both are immaterial in his guilt or innocence.

Anybody who has watched the testimony and still thinks he is guilty shouldn’t be allowed to vote.

“It defies logic, common sense. The fundamental human right is the right to self defense.”

Well, that’s exactly why it is logical. If you want to destroy all notion of “human rights”, then that’s the right you absolutely must attack and destroy.

Freedom of speech is important too, but when your back is up against the wall, people don’t make speeches to save themselves from tyrants...

Applying actual, proven, fact to the law has nothing to do with what people who don’t know either the facts or the law believe (or, rather, emote). Though, tragically, those formerly widely separated things have been blurring together in the last few decades. I hope that the jury in this case can resist the popular tide and rule on whether or not Kyle Rittenhouse actually violated the law.

so anything that happened was his fault.

So, you admit you’re assuming this person’s gender. “single female” “his fault”.

/sarc, just a joke

Defense of oneself and family.

And anyone who is defenseless.

If I see a dude puttin’ an ass-whoppin’ on a women, I’m going to do my best to stop it.

Same if the woman was puttin’ an ass-whoppin’ on a dude.

Stop the altercation, separate them, let the police sort it out.

The alternative is to run away and hide. And, oh by the way, step over the dead body while you are running away.

That is the thing that you do in New York City. That is why people who live there and put up with that crap are evil. They used to like to brag that NYC is not for wimps and living in the city will make you tough... like that is a good thing. A good thing to get mugged, property stolen, pee and poop on the street, ....

No, I look at it as a failed society where the lowest of the low people live. A city of dirt-bags. A modern day Sodom and Gomorrah. Or as Trump liked to say a “sh!thole.”

I keep reading he “accidentally” shot “his friend”.

He accidentally pulled a gun that he didn’t check for ammo, aimed it directly AT her, and pulled the trigger.

Nope. He carelessly pulled a gun that he didn’t check for ammo, purposely aimed it directly AT her, and thoughtlessly pulled the trigger.

It is complete anarchy. So what is a person supposed to do while the city burns to the ground? <<

they are supposed rape rob and pillage as it burns to the ground....Claim “victim status” and then ask the Govt to “Build Back Better” so the can do it all over again...Victim status is a “right”..its in the Constitution...../s

If/when it all does burn to the ground. We must try to resurrect it based on the current US Constitution. And a similar government accordingly. There is nothing better the framework and failure is almost certain if we don’t.

What is happened is the Federal government and the Executive branch have become too powerful. No more executive orders, for starters. And that flows down to the state governments and the governors. No more executive orders. They have abused that “right.”

And the balance of power must be returned to the States.
