Biden Claims Americans Aren't Clever Enough to Understand the Supply Chain Crisis & Concedes Stimulus Checks Fueled Spike in Inflation
Daily Mail UK ^ | 11/11/2021 | Harriet Alexander

Joe Biden said on Wednesday that most Americans cannot understand the problems faced by the United States' supply chains, adding that 'not a lot of people' have a clear grasp of the networks and their implications. 'You hear a lot about the supply chains in the news, but frankly, not a lot of people have a clear understanding, whether they have a Ph.D. or they didn't go to school, about how a supply chain works. In simple terms, supply chain is just the journey that a product takes to get to your doorstep,' he said. (Holy cow, I had no idea supply chains included a journey! Good thing we have Biden to explain the complications of that concept.)

The president also admitted his decision to send out stimulus checks contributed to the current high inflation. 'The irony is people have more money now because of the first major piece of legislation I passed. You all got checks for $1,400. You got checks for a whole range of things,' Biden said, referencing his COVID relief checks sent out in April. 'If you're a mom and you have kids under the age of 7, you get $300 a month and if it's over 7 to 17, you're getting $360 a month,' he said, misstating the second amount, which is $250 per month.

'It changes people's lives. But what happens if there's nothing to buy and you got more money to compete for getting [goods]? It creates a real problem. On the one hand, we're facing new disruptions to our supplies. At the same time, we're also experiencing higher demand for goods because wages are up as well as people have money in the bank. And because of the strength of our economic recovery, American families have been able to buy more products.'

Is it too early, or was his statement as garbled as I think it is?

resident Bidon and his merry band of Communists moved manufacturing to any country but the USA.
We are dependent on other Countries for everything from adult depends to PPE to fight a hoax pandemic

I know there are container ships anchored, waiting to unload their cargo.
I know the store shelves are empty
I know big chunks of the workforce is told to stay home and fight the fake pandemic.
I know the Communists stopped pumping oil and higher fuel prices make everything more expensive

I know all of the above creates too many interconnected bottlenecks that result in empty shelves

But, I am just a simple deplorable
Welcome to life under Communism, aint it grand

The checks provided only a small piece of the wages lost when the government shut down businesses and put people out work and killed their purchasing power. Not inflationary one little bit.

What I understand is that unloading of any container ships from China violates EO 13848 - foreign interference of a US Election.

Upwards of 110 ships ATM.

Yes, and isn’t it curious (NO!) that the majority of ports for the shipping trade are on the California coast? So, the laws and destruction of trucking industry in CA could only have been planned. Stupidity couldn’t have created this mess. Another quote from article:

“Ships have spent days off the coasts of the world’s major ports, unable to unload their cargo due to a shortage of delivery drivers and technical staff. Container ships have plied their routes with their vessels only partially loaded, due to logistical issues in ports and warehouses.”

Here is another hilarious Biden comment. Can’t make this crap up now can we?

****************************************

On Saturday, he said: ‘If we were all going out and having lunch together and I said, let’s ask whoever’s in the next table, no matter what restaurant we’re in, have them explain the supply chain to us. Do you think they’d understand what we’re talking about? They’re smart people,’ the president added, but he concluded the current crisis was a part of a complicated world.’

Biden also said Saturday that he has yet to see a reporter outline ‘very well’ how supply chains work.

>>> OK, how often is the curmudgeon allowed to speak to any reporter, and/or the other way around?

and...there's another thing: PAYING FOR IT The five-year spending package would be paid for by tapping $210 billion in unspent COVID-19 relief aid and $53 billion in unemployment insurance aid some states have halted, along with an array of other smaller pots of money, like petroleum reserve sales and spectrum auctions for 5G services.

One of the good quotes from DM:

“He is not intelligent enough to be as condescending as he is. Joe, just because it’s complicated to you doesn’t mean the rest of us don’t understand a simple concept.”

Love it!

Coming from an Idiot POTUS who can’t even make it to the bathroom before he sh*ts all over himself, and yet, presupposes to that most Americans are stupid, clueless, not clever enough, blah, blah, blah? Okie dokie. #notmypresident

Replacing President Trump with Biden is akin to getting rid of your one million dollar Ferrari and replacing it with a 40 year old pick up truck with a head gasket blown. Here in the UK we don’t recognise the Democrats as a legitimate administration.

(stole that from DM as well.)

Is sleepy joe saying he has a clear understanding of the problem? Seems to me that when you fully understand a problem, when you see each point in the exercise and have a firm grasp of the details, you should easily see where you made your mistakes and understand how to correct those mistakes, see I don’t think sleepy joe understands s#it and couldn’t fix the supply chain problem if he tried really really hard

50+ years Joe.
50+ years and you have been wrong on just about everything.

I used to believe that doing the same thing over and over again, expecting a different outcome, is the definition of insanity. People voting for this administration, with it’s history, TRULY is the definition of insanity.

Give me back the rude tweeter!!

Exactly! Although Trump wasn’t always right, and at time a bit crass, we knew 100% what HE believed and it wasn’t someone else’s narrative. I’d take that back too :)

I haven't received any checks for anything from the gov't (although I've written a bunch of checks to them).

(Still trying to wrap my mind around how anyone who isn't high or psychotic could actually believe that throwing $1 trillion at the economy is somehow going to reduce inflation.)
