I used to know someone whose daughter was an excellent basketball player. She was being scouted by top colleges and her name was in the paper constantly, the subject of local magazine articles, etc.. The same thing happened to her but she was ambushed by numerous players on the other team in the parking lot after the game (they were also black girls). Her injuries were so severe it took a couple of years of physical therapy for her to function normally again. The lawsuit was huge.
