President Joe Biden has vowed to make reversing the country's rising inflation a 'top priority,' after the Consumer Price Index revealed inflation is at its highest level in 31 years.
The president has blamed the 6.2 percent increase in the cost of living on 'market manipulation' and 'price gouging,' despite the nation's top economists pointing to the country's supply-chain shortages and businesses struggling to meet the demand from widespread coronavirus pandemic-related shutdowns as the reason for the rise in prices.
Biden said in a statement on Wednesday his $1.2 trillion Build Back Better plan will help slow the growing inflation problem, even as household debt increases to a record high.

Inflation is the main indicator that you have a Democratic Government ,LOL
Instead of fixing the problem by spending less and stopping the printing presses, will these idiots instead try price control, the surest way to empty shelves and no supply? The Marxist Way.
Econ 101
What Is Demand-Pull Inflation?
Demand-pull inflation is the upward pressure on prices that follows a shortage in supply, a condition that economists describe as "too many dollars chasing too few goods."
KEY TAKEAWAYS
When demand surpasses supply, higher prices are the result. This is demand-pull inflation.
Increased government spending is good for the economy, too, but it can lead to scarcity in some goods and inflation will follow.
If this guy was not the dumbest person to ever hold the office he is in, it is only because they did not have ratings before 1850. It is the over stimulation of the economy by phantom dollars chasing fewer goods dummy, that is the reason.
This dopes idea will be to raise taxes and not worry about interest rates climbing. Wait till the first of the year when all the government spending tied to CPI growth hit the programs. Billions more of deficit spending.
Whatever, Poopypants.
Inflation is the main indicator that you have a Democratic Government ,LOL

LOL! In a sad way, so true.
Unexpected inflation, oh my. Who would have thought handing out trillions of dollar would cause inflation
(do I need it?)

Just you wait. Biden is going to move against the already-squeezed producers. After all, that worked well in Venezuela.
(The annual inflation rate in Venezuela is currently around 1900%.)
Viva Brandon!
No big deal. This only affects working people. The government can simply create more money. What could possibly go wrong?
He’ll reverse it from 6% to 12%
There is no way to fix inflation.
Well, there is, but the Federales won’t do it.
The only way to reduce inflations is to stop creating money out of thin air through deficit spending and let productivity catch up with the funny money the Federales created.
.
Biden is too obsessed with erasing Traditional America than to deal with rising prices, skyrocketing Energy costs, and cost of vehicles.
His peeps want to usher in Marxism and the admire Cubs. Not hard to see why this is happening.
Joe only cares about the Ruling class, period.
.
That’s the ticket. Evil Capitalists are causing the inflation. I see them now, like Scrooge McDuck, gleefully chortling and running their bullion through their hands, all the while plotting ways to squeeze the life blood out of the economy.
So Sad.
His peeps want to usher in Marxism and the admire Cuba.
Autocorrect
standby for price controls followed by even worse shortages and empty shelves
Using the word “transitory” is just another way to kick the can down the road. In three months these “experts” will deny ever saying it if someone happens to remember.
He's right. Government interference has been manipulating the market for a long time.
