That he's SO disconnected from the Realities of this case that he's "quite surprised"...? THAT little revelation does NOTHING for my confidence that Justice will be served.

"The Judge needs to rule an acquittal from the bench and spare the jury the risk. Ya, there's a technical term for that, but I'm not a lawyer."
The defense made such a request and it was denied by the Judge.
