The Legislative Redistricting Advisory Commission released four draft concept congressional maps Tuesday evening.
The redistricting panel, convened by Senate President Bill Ferguson (D-Baltimore City) and House Speaker Adrienne A. Jones (D-Baltimore County) is tasked with drawing up congressional and legislative maps for the General Assembly to consider. Lawmakers are set to return to Annapolis on Dec. 6 for a special session to handle congressional redistricting.
The four conceptual congressional maps are available online alongside information about the population and racial makeup of each district — but not the partisan political breakdown. Some of the configurations are vast departures from current maps, including two draft maps of a 1st District that crosses the Chesapeake Bay Bridge to include portions of Anne Arundel County alongside the Eastern Shore.

Got to give them credit, they will leave no evil/crooked stone unturned in order to solidify their control & expansion of our new communist nation...

Looks very similar to some of the proposals to have “Western Maryland” and/or “Eastern Shore” secede.
All of the fam has now moved outta MD except for my 100 yr old MIL.
She should also move to avoid the confiscatory State Death Tax.
they are embarrassed to have a GOP congressman (1st district - eastern shore) so they will attach liberal areas from the western shore to elect a democrat.
Will sorely miss my Congressman Andy Harris, Maryland’s lone Conservative voice . . .
Also, dread the prospect that NeverTrumper Larry Hogan looms as the most likely challenger against Van Hollen for Senate next year.
Such a shame to see my state literally become a one-party monopoly, shutting down and out any possibility of even a single representative.
Harris turns out to be a National Treasure.
Equivalent talent in The House are likely less than two handfuls.
I’d readily swap him out for my current ‘critter.
The new maps are just as bad as the current maps.
