With vaccines now available for everybody aged five and up who wants one, highly effective anti-viral drugs on the horizon, the southern surge over, and COVID-19 settling into an endemic pattern, the justifications for maintaining masking requirements keep evaporating. So naturally, the masking obsessives are preparing new reasons to keep up the policy.

So naturally, the masking obsessives are preparing new reasons to keep up the policy.
One sign is CDC director Rochelle Walensky. It was bad enough that she tweeted the unsupported claim that masks reduce your chance of infection by more than 80 percent (without differentiating the vaccinated from the unvaccinated), but it was also noteworthy that she added, “Masks also help protect from other illnesses like common cold and flu.” There is simply no reason to mention the cold or flu unless she is laying the groundwork for decoupling masking requirements from COVID-19. She was also not alone.
It linked to a story from contributor Jay Bhatt, a doctor and public-health professor, arguing that people should resist returning to normal after receiving their vaccine booster. But of the five reasons he lists for continued masking and social distancing, two of them are “it’s flu season” and “other viruses are out there.”
One of the reasons why I have tried to avoid making the argument that we don’t mask during flu season, so we should not be masking for COVID-19 given that vaccines are widely available, is precisely that I was always worried that at some point, somebody would respond, “Well, we should be masking during flu season!” It seems that moment has arrived.
True, there are just a few people hinting at this argument now and there is no formal guidance. But given the kind of goalpost-shifting we’ve witnessed in the past 20 months, and the compulsion with keeping people in masks no matter the science, it’s pretty clear where this is leading. We cannot wait around for public-health officials to declare that it is safe to go back to normal. These people will not provide us with an off-ramp, and so we must take one. We must ignore their guidance and put pressure on state and local officials so they do so as well.

The above is the essence of the article. We (and anyone we can influence) need to MASSIVELY RESIST continued masking. “They” will never end it… we must!
I have considered the Pandemic to be largely over and on its last gasps in October. It’s OVER in the South and on its last significant wave in the North. Let’s ALL act in accord with the REALITY that our nation has moved on to the ENDEMIC phase of COVID-19. Let GET BACK TO NORMALITY. IF NOT NOW, WHEN!

A properly constructed face mask is fine for preventing the inhalation of dust particles. But most masks do jack s#!+ for stopping any virus and many bacteria. In fact, they become a potent breeding ground for the growth and propagation of a number of pathogens, which are then rebreathed into the respiratory system of the mask wearer.
A transparent face shield is vastly more effective at reducing this effect of a Petri dish on your face, and facial recognition is much easier.
Americans have been so dumbed down, they don’t recognize actions have consequences and lack critical thinking skills.

I keep a grotty bandana in my go bag when I’m out and about in case I need to mask up. I haven’t used it in many months. As in, not for about a year, at least.
Why would the Deep State support masks? I assume their face recognition software (i.e., their surveillance state) works better without masks.
Eliminating the vaccines would be a start but the damage from vaccines has already rooted itself. Natural immunity would have been the successful route to take for a “pandemic” that is 99.997% curable. But mask mandates help instill fear with the public in order to surrender to vaccine mandates which have compounded the “pandemic thereby creating the golden goose that laid the golden pandemic to be used to overthrow free enterprise and Capitalism. It is being used to bancrupt countries and amass power for a new world order.
I’d prefer to nuke it from orbit.

Unfortunately, the biggest mistake ever made by Western Civilization was to give women the vote. Don’t get me wrong, there are some very smart, practical and realistic women out there (including my mother, wife and daughter), but most are utterly unsuited for deciding about leadership. Women, in general, vote for what they believe to be kindness and generosity, which actually end up both bankrupting and weakening nations, and allowing them to fall prey to male-led societies.
I’m female, I don’t like most women, socialize mostly with guys, and refuse totally to work with women-not for any of the reasons you cited, but because they are whiny, bitchy and feign helplessness for material gain-I insist on my men being muy macho-no soy wusses, no way-and there are plenty of real women like me around-so please stop insulting us-put more equal blame on stupid, weak, ever fearful and controlling MEN who enable these weak sisters...
Any bets on how long the federal transportation mask mandate will be extended for? Not whether it will be extended; we know that already.
And I don’t vote for kindness and generosity-that is not what politics are for-that is for religious and other charities-I vote for the guy who is conservative, loves liberty kicks ass and takes names-like pres Trump...

Yep. I have very few women friends, for that exact reason. We would probably get along fabulously!
Masks depersonalize and dehumanize people. When you can’t see the unique features and emotional language of someone’s face, everyone looks like a npc. Alike as ants in an anthill.
Every person has a unique way of walking, and of course there is the fact that our phones are in 95% of pockets when not at home.

I think the best method of controlling an out of control government is to tie them down with laws. Strict laws governing bribing of Congressman and Senators. Make a law allowing only money from a Congressional district to be donated to their election. Senators appointed by State legislatures, term limits of two terms for Congress, the same laws for insider trading against them, drug tests for all, competency tests for all, and return to the days of the USSC being almost invisible.
