RNC announces 'Pride Coalition,' partnership with Log Cabin Republicans ahead of midterms

The Republican National Committee announced its first ever "RNC Pride Coalition" over the weekend, partnering with the Log Cabin Republicans to invest and mobilize LGBTQ communities ahead of the 2022 midterm elections.

The announcement came during the Log Cabin Republicans' "Spirit of Lincoln Gala," which took place Saturday night at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida, and attracted a high-profile group of attendees, including former President Trump and former first lady Melania Trump, who was the event’s guest of honor, and other prominent Republicans, including former acting Director of National Intelligence Ric Grenell.

RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel, who was given the "Majority Maker" award, said the RNC is "committed" to working with the Log Cabin Republicans — the country’s largest Republican organization dedicated to representing LGBTQ conservatives and allies — calling the organization "a partner to fight for our country’s future."

"Conservatives in Log Cabin don’t just share our vision for a free, secure and prosperous America — they enrich it by adding unique perspectives to our party and recruiting even more diverse candidates and supporters to join our cause," McDaniel said.

"The RNC is launching our first-ever RNC Pride Coalition," she continued, adding that RNC Pride will "work alongside our other coalition groups to invest in communities and mobilize support for the upcoming midterms."

President of Log Cabin Republicans Charles Moran said the organization was involved in both the Virginia and New Jersey governor's races last week, and plans to "play an even bigger role on the ground in the midterm elections next year helping Republicans win back the House and Senate."

"When LGBT conservatives are included in Republican campaigns, we win," Moran told Fox News.

Grenell, who was the first openly gay U.S. Cabinet official in history, reflected on the evolution of the Republican Party, calling the progress "phenomenal."

Not so much as a dime to the RNC.

DJT has his list of RINOs to sweep away in the primaries.

This is why I left the Episcopal Church years ago. I do not care what one’s sexual proclivities are but I do care when one ‘s group attempts to change my church’s or for that matter my party’s global view to match theirs. Easier though to find another church than a party but don’t push me.

I notice no one here mentions TRUMP hosting this at his estate and resort. It’s all the RNC’s fault. Denial ain’t just a River in Egypt.

Never met a gay man in real life who was not a consumate liar and I knew plenty in my massive hedonistic lifestyle when I was younger. No not gay but knew many.

Every one was a consumate liar. It bears repeating.

“I am happy about this. I could care less about sexual identity other than all of the woke stuff the left talks about. Race, religion, gay, straight, it means nothing. What matters to me is the quality of the person.”

My thinking is the same. I wish they wouldn’t try to push it as “normal”, especially to children. If it was “normal”, we wouldn’t be here. And, at no time in my life did I intend to have sex with the vast majority of the people that I have met; these days, even less so. So, it really doesn’t matter :)

They say that gay people are on average more intelligent than the average, so it should not really surprise anybody that many are Republicans.

Oh?

Why don’t you read a few lines into the excerpt?

I’ve known a few honorable gay fellows. Three, I think.

Wasn’t it enough that the British army beat the stuffing out of the [woke/trannie/gay] U.S. army during recent war games? Is this going to be the majority of the RNC now? SICK!!

Gays are often DINK. Dual income no kids. I can see why the RNC is trolling them for cash.

True. When something doesn't make sense, follow the money.

I am always stunned when I hear someone tell me—out of the blue, no context—that they are gay or lesbian.

I didn’t ask the question. I don’t need to know.

Why do they have to tell me? It is none of my business.

The same concept applies here. The Republicans have no business going there.

It is wrong.

It is stupid.

It is cattle prodding the base.

Do they want to lose?

Look, I think homosexuality is contrary to God’s law and unnatural, and gross, etc. etc. But just because you’re homosexual doesn’t mean you’re a depraved sicko perv. My cousin and his husband (I still cringe saying that) are some of the best people I know. There are many homosexuals on our side like Rick Grenell, Brandon Straka, and Dave Rubin who do a lot of good for the sake of conservatism. The fact is, homosexuality is accepted, and thus the Democrat party doesn’t have to have a lock on these people anymore. There are plenty of reasonable gays who are ok with simple tolerance and can “agree to disagree” on certain things who can be on our side 90% of the time if we don’t push them away.

I’m probably the lead RINO defender here...but they sure don’t seem interested in giving me anything to defend in this case.

Ric Grennel was a great pick. Fought on twitter and mainstream news like a champ.

Lets not forget Trump was a big tent Republican. He had gays come on stage holding rainbow flags for Trump. That is how Trump won his election and should have won the re-election.

Going back to hard core religious conservative isn’t going to work (or win general elections) in today’s sexual climate. That’s just reality.

They gave up in 2013 when SCOTUS ruled it was the law of the land. This isn’t a new development. Paul Singer has spent tens of millions of dollars to get the GOP to be pro-LGBT.

Same here. As long as they have conservative political values. I couldn’t care less about their personal life

I personally knew a prominent homosexual (out of the closet in later life) Republican.

His name was David Brudnoy.

He died of AIDs, btw.

He was smart and witty, and a great public speaker. I knew him before he came out of the closet, and I knew who he hung out with and why.

But—he did have a problem. He really liked young guys, teenagers. He was in his thirties at the time.

I personally lectured him on the topic and told him he needed to clean up his act.

But—he never gave it up....
