America's borders reopen today to thousands of international travelers from the UK, Europe, Mexico, and Canada for the first time since March 2020, when former President Donald Trump slammed the country's ports closed at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Until now, the only people who have been able to enter the US from those countries are American citizens, green-card holders or those who obtained national interest exemptions from the ban.
Starting Monday, travelers can visit the US again from anywhere so long as they prove they are fully vaccinated and have a negative COVID-19 test.

Meanwhile, the southern border remains open to illegals.
Sounds like an international super spreader event. Disease laden folks legally entering the US while disease laden illegal folks enter the US............. HUH? And yet, we won’t be traveling by public conveyance ever again. Darn the luck.

It’s true that Trump did it, and while he resisted, he had handed everything over to Pence and Fauci, so he did what they said. When Trump stopped flights from China, Fauci’s minions said that it was racist and he had to stop flights from Europe too. Which he did.
A bad decision with bad advisers, but Trump’s hallmark was bad advisers and his reluctance to defy them.
But what this tells me is that the left is bailing on the Covid project because while it has given them enormous power, people are beginning to resist.
Look for all sorts of relaxations of “Covid restrictions” and gradual walking back (as the Dems call it) of mandates, for which of course the Dems will take credit.
Hundreds of thousands of people worldwide are protesting the vaccines and restrictions and there will be social instability if this keeps on. China will be happy, but I think even some of our US and EU “leaders” are beginning to wonder if choosing the China side was the best idea for them personally.
There is no place I wanna go enough to risk the shots.
All we need is more spike shedders infecting us..

Delta has been one of the most Dem-compliant and masky-wasky hysterical airlines. I used to love flying Delta and I traveled a lot to Europe and to remote (from me) destinations in the US, not to mention regular flights to NYC.
Making the flight attendants into mask nazis was a bad decision, and the one time I have flown since then, I can see why the airlines are having attacks on flight attendants, other passengers, etc. You’re under stress from the moment you arrive at the terminal with all of the TSA announcements about what is required for your mere presence andto the fact that the flight attendants are told to roam the aisles looking for somebody with their mask down and confront that person.
The air on a plane, btw, is “cleaner” that what you breathe everyday. It goes through a UV scrubber and is recirculated and replaced every x seconds (I don’t recall the number), and a lot of oxygen and outside air is added to it.

The government restricts what you and I can do without the vaccination. When are they going to require that welfare recipients are vaxxed?
Yep...no disease coming in on air flights. That’s good.
But disease walking and swimming in from the south by the MILLIONS.
The difference is the temporary visitors arriving on air flights won’t vote here whereas the millions streaming over the southern border WILL VOTE here.
