Under this mandate, eligible patrons will need to show proof of a COVID-19 vaccination to enter restaurants, bars, coffee shops, stores, gyms, spas or salons. People attending large, outdoor events will also need to show evidence of either vaccination or proof of a negative COVID-19 test to attend the event.

Well, I just got into town about an hour ago
Took a look around, see which way the wind blow
Pushing the vaccines left and right
In the city of night, city of night
Myocardial rising, myocardial rising
Myocardial rising, myocardial rising
gonna keep on rising, rising
Now I'm feeling sort of rotten
Now I'm feeling rotten, rotten
Now my bloods clotting, clotting
Now my bloods clotting, clotting
name that tune

Here just north of Seattle, a similar rule went into effect two weeks ago. I can't go to my local bar or eat in a restaurant. It's not clear if you can walk into a fast food place, for example, and order food to go. I've been using drive-thru windows.
About six or seven of the bar regulars can't go there for now. I'm saving money and drinking a lot less. The rule probably hurts the bartenders more than anyone else.

Q Not quite for sure with this question.
Does the mandate apply to only to the city of Los Angeles or to all of the county cities?

Is that Seattle mandating it or some town nearby? Isn’t either Washington Oregon still mandating masks? I am from New England which is only slightly better in the sense that no state wide mask mandates and outside of New York City no cities, to my knowledge, has mandated vaccines for things like indoor dining, etc.

They stopped the OSHA employer mandate, I don’t think anyone has challenged the various city mandates like New York, Los Angeles have put in place to enter a restaurant.

Once again, the goal posts have been moved. I’m not familiar with the Los Angeles mandate, as I don’t live in that region. However, from what I’ve read the New York City mandate has no clear specific metrics that must be met when it will go away. I would imagine Los Angeles has done the same.
You would think that in cities like New York and Los Angeles with extremely high vaccination rates, presumably 70 to 80%, or somewhere in that ballpark, they would have eradicated Covid for the most part and wouldn’t be worrying about it anymore. It seems that as cases continue to decline, the mandates get even more stringent. That is all the proof I need to know that it is about control and not health.

Walmart needs to be at the top of this list. Hire people with clubs to keep the unvaxxed away. Starve them into submission. They'll comply!

Calif as a state is 62% vaccinated, heavy on the over 50 side, light on the 30=40yo side.
Los Angeles County is about 64% vaccinated and the city is anywhere from 50% to 75% vaccinated, depending on zipcode. About 85% of seniors are vaccinated (94% have one-shot)
As long as SoCal remains a benefit magnet for illegals who sneak over the border and bring infection to the latinx neighborhoods they are drawn to, covid will remain a problem.

I don’t need to enter restaurants, bars, coffee shops, stores, gyms, spas or salons or large, outdoor events. The tyrants can stuff it.
