I’m putting the final touches on my presentation to our county’s 5th Graders who are going to tour the the major cemetery stopping at the gravesites to hear presentations beginning with the Civil War. She may have used race instead of species but more likely was asking if there were less trees in areas that blacks live as compared to whites or other minorities. That is still trying to create division among us but it is not a totally non-intellectural question.
