Good evening, ML...((HUGS))...were you and Blue able to get in one more weekend? A yard sale or two?
A Blessed Lord’s Day and Shavua Tov to you and yours.
Gloomy, gloomy, gloomy here. A little bit of spitting snow, and some sprinkles. A good day to be inside looking out.
God Bless our military men and women who have given their all.
Thanks, unique.
It was in the low forties today, and I made the painful decision that it was hibernation time for Blue. I bundled up like i was going to Mars and rode the 28 miles to my brother’s house. He was outside chopping wood for the winter and insulating the hen house.
Yep. Winter is coming. I made the right decision, and even managed to hit a few yard sales on the way...no purchases though.
Then another sister came and picked me up, and we went to lunch, and then visited an old-fashioned Hi-Fi store (probably the only one left in the state!) We sat on couches and listened to different speakers and turntables, schmoozed through the racks of Classic Rock VINYL, and Sis ended up buying a whole new stereo system!
Man ohf man do I love the warm, cozy sound of Analog! And since today was the 6th anniversary of our mom’s passing, it was a very special, nostalgic time in that store, as our childhood was spent going into places just like that with Dad and his records like Beethoven’s 9th, 1812 Overture, Carmina Burana, and Mahler Symphonies to test the speakers. I can’t believe I drove by it several times a week for six years and never went inside!
